im lookin for comics with a Sin city/Max Payne like story in it. anyone got any titles?

1st check out The Watchmen by Alan Moore, it is the greatest comic book i've ever read. In the 80's he was considered the greatest writer in comics, many still feel he is. Anything by him is pretty fucking dope, V for Vendetta is another good 'adult' comic book by him, and read it before november and the shitty film adaptation comes out. While the film adaptations of From Hell (Johnny Depp) and The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen (Sean Connery) were crap, the comic books are good (From Hell being very dope). Although they're not really Sin City/Max Payne stories. The Promethea series are cool too, final book is meant to be out on the 23rd (July). Frank Miller's Batman books are pretty dope too. But you need to read The Watchmen, if you're into comics it just needs to be done.

Fuck if you're into comics or not. Read it anyway. It's a truly great story in any medium.

V for VEndetta is becoming a movie too. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0434409/ I don't know if it'll be any good or not but it should be worth checking.

To answer the original request, I highly recommend 100 Bullets by Brian Azzarello and Eduardo Rizzo. It's a sensational read with great characters storylines and an intriguing back story that slowly unwinds as the series goes along. It's on like issue 63 or 63 right now so good like trying to get all the issues but you can buy them in trade paper backs, and I'd advise you to read it all at once, then read it again to pick up what you missed.

The whole story isn't done yet but so far it's incredible. I'll give you the skinny on what it's about. It's more of an organized crime type story, but not Italian Mob type stuff. It's about a group of 13 families that basically run the crime world (or world for that matter) for the past several hundrd years and they had a group of men from that were employed to police eachother from themselves. They decided that they no longer needed these men and ordered to have them killed, but they didn't succeed. The leader of the group survived and he goes around to people that have been wronged offers them 100 bullets and a gun with everything untracable and gives them proof of who the person responsible for ruining their lives is. It's some sort of game he plays, why he does it is not yet explained. I won't give away anymore.

My summary doesn't do this series justice. If you like Sin City you'll love this.

im REALLY into comics actually...no lie...um...100 bullets wood be good...also look at any marvel max titles but independent comics wood probably be more sin cityish
