3 L.A Rap Classics
« on: April 30, 2003, 12:20:55 AM »
Bloods - Piru Love
Lil Chill - The Enemy
MC Eiht - Str8 Up Menace

Man, most of us listen to these tracks for years now and they never get boring or anoying. That are some real tracks. The west coast really needs to come back with tracks like these and they will be on top of the game again.

Yep, those are some classics. And even though Piru Love and Streiht Up Menace were singles they weren't commercial in the sense that we have now. When you could see MC Eiht come in at #4 on the video countdown. And Piru Love...wish I could have seen the video, it's realness was amazing because I wasn't into the underground, so the gangsta part of what was popular was blurry. Until this came around and sets were claimed, crab/slob shit  :o No question who's allegiance was where.

Still like the Streiht Up Menace Remix better though :)

thanks for bringing this up.

peace,
tnp

Good that Graph mentioned the Shaft Gangsta Clicc. Does anyone know, whether they have an album out? All I know is that they are also on the Hoodlum Records compilation "Westpresentin' - The West In Peace Compilation". Hoodlum Records is also the label that released the Lil Chill album.
