« on: August 31, 2003, 03:39:13 PM »
Manchester City 1 - 2 Arsenal  8)
Southampton 1 - 0 Manchester United   ;D
Aston Villa 3 - 1 Leicester City
Chelsea 2 - 2 Blackburn Rovers
Middlesbrough 2 - 3 Leeds United
Wolverhampton Wanderers 0 - 0 Portsmouth
Newcastle United 0 - 1 Birmingham City
Tottenham Hotspur 0 - 3 Fulham
Bolton Wanderers 0 - 0 Charlton Athletic
Everton 0 - 3 Liverpool

Arse didnt play great today but still won. Played 4 won 4 and looking solid.
Lauren WTF was that! i couldnt believe what i saw.
Citys stadium is fantastic, shows how badly we need a new ground.
Seaman- once a gooner always a gooner ;)

Mankers were VERY poor today against a very ordinary team. I know its only four games gone but Jay you have to be worried. Forlan? Phil n? Kleberson? (a poor mans Gilberto and thats saying something).
Fergie has messed up in the transfer market this year big time. We'll see how you manage now the guy who won you the league last year has gone to manage Madrid.
Saw the game in a pub full of city fans, but missed the goal, heard it was a mistake by your keeper.

And Bez, what happened on Sat? You need another Mid player badly.

Good result yesterday, we showed character to come from 1-0 down against tough opposition, not many teams will do that at City this season.  Lehmann is a class act, greatest German ever.

Ayo Jay Ay Beattie, are Djemba Djemba and Gary Glitterson being played ahead of Nicky Butt?

yer we sucked on sat, it was dope tho in the gwladys street, loads of fights and shit when liverpool scored.  Sum fat cunt got thrown out by the police and everyone was chating you fat bastard to him, lol, funny as fuck.

Shit game tho, rooney wasn't on form, radz and rooney dont work well as a strike partnership.  I hate to say it but we are missing kevin campbell.

Pembo has just gone to fulham, we have just got Nigel Martin, and Jeffers and we are gettin sum class act from scotland called Jamie Mcfadden who has been looked at by Man utd, Arsenal, Everton, Liverpool, all the class team wanted him.

Things are lookin up, by I still wanna know where this midefield player is we desperately need.

Ha ha lol

Liverpool usually win the league in October but Arsenal have won the league in August this time!

No worries.  We were unlucky yesterday, crap game should have been 0 - 0.  Fergie has strengthened the squad dramatically over the summer, I'll repeat that again.  Kleberson is a strange signing, I've said that.  No Solskjaer yesterday, and no Scholes and no Ferdinand which were big misses.  Neville G was so crap.  We've got more points than we had last season at this stage, so I'm very happy.

Donnelly, you have to admit that Seaman is crap.  He has cost you 3 goals in two games.  Even fat Weaver looks a better proposition.

Everton had out an embarrasing midfield in the derby.  And you've sold Pembridge to Fulham haven't you?  Why?  Without Gravesen it looks really lightweight.

You're not getting McFadden I don't think.

And if Fergie had wanted him I think he would have got him don't you?

Everton have new McFadden bid accepted
Everton's second approach for James McFadden appears to have paid off after Motherwell agreed a deal allowing him to move to Goodison Park. More...

------
I think we will get him, wheather we get him before the tranny deadline remians to be seen.  He wouldent necessarly go to man utd tho, competition.

Yeah I was about to post you got him now, my dad just told me

Bez - if we had really wanted him, we would have signed him.  Simple as.

We have scouts looking at around 100 players a week.

Fergie has strengthened the squad dramatically over the summer,

You think?

Youve sold Beckham and Veron, two creative players and brought in Kleberson and D-D, two identical defensive midfield players. You already had Keane and Butt who do that role for you well enough. Ruud has not had a chance in two games now, which must be a worry.

You now have no right winger. Solskjaer is a good player but is no  winger. Fergie knows this as you tried to buy that Joaquin from spain.

You have also been vvverrryyyy lucky that horse face has not got injured. If he does who do you bring in? Forlan? Cockney reds down here are saying how badly you need another striker.

You also need another defender, Silvestre is no CB and you need a full back.

Ronaldo, as good a player as he is is not ready yet.

Bez- Franny Jeffers? hope you take him off us for good in the summer.

Another Wenger flop consigned to the history books

Yeah we still haven't got proper backup for Ruud - but that's the same as the last two seasons

I would be suprised if there's another team in the history of football that has ever gone for two years without fielding a number 9 on the pitch like we have.

Veron was a problem.  We could have given him another year but 100,000 a week of our wage bill and £15 million?  You take that.  You were panning him last season and he didn't really feature in our big results (only you at home).

Beckham - Very glad we got that media tart off our books.  £100 grand a week again off our wage bill.  He did fuck all last season.

We've got a better keeper than we had last season, Djemba is more creative than Butt and the reason he started ahead of him was because Nicky was not match fit.  Ronaldo is class.  He did more in 10 minutes at Southampton than everyone else over 90.

Silvestre is a centre back.  His pace is electric - faster than Henry.  He just needs to be stronger on his feet.

We need full backs and a striker.  You need a real right back, a centre back, a partner in central midfield for Vieira and another striker.  You KNOW I'm right about Bergkamp.  He won't play 10 full games.

Haha you sold Beckham and Veron and signed Djemba Djemba, Gary Glitterson and Ronaldo, your kidding yourself if you reckon you've strengthened, didn't Keane play centre back against Wolves? Glitterson right wing against Southampton, Solskjaer right wing usually and we're only 4 games in.  Plus you rely far too heavily on Ruud who no longer has Beckham's service, how many assists did Beckham get last term, about 14? 15? i presume, thats alot.

Also this Arsenal lack strength in depth stuff is a joke, made up to replace the bollocks about our 'financial problems' oh hang on, where did they go? They're probably down the Seven Sisters Road in dream world with the scum lol.
