WOW! I knew Tarver had a chance to win, but I didn't think he would KO Jones.

Roy Jones has been over rated since day 1. Okay he's good, but to prove yourself to great you have compete in the "real" divisions, Heavy Weight, Welter Weight, Middle Weight. What the fuck is light heavy weight? It's a bullshit division for guys that can't cut it with the big boys. I'm glad he got KO'd, it's about time he fought a guy that wasn't a complete waste, (every light guy he's ever fought), or payed not throw any punches (Ruiz). To think he actually thought he could even stand in the same ring as Lennox, much less beat him, is absurd. Good for Tarver. Now let's hope he moves up a bit in weight and gets his assed kicked by a real fighter, a heavy weight fighter.

^^Jones didn't start out in the lightweight division, he just moved up in weight over the years like many boxers have done.

He moved up to what? In the entire history of boxing there have only been to prestigious  divisions:

Welter/Middle Weight- La Motta, Robinson, Leonard, Hearns, Duran, Hagler, De La Hoya.

Heavy Weight- Marciano, Lewis, Ali, Liston, Foreman, Frasier, Tyson, Lennox Lewis.

light heavy weight? what the heel is that? It was division for clowns like Jones not to get there asses kicked. Rocky boxed at about 185 lbs, and he was a Heavy Weight. Why change it for guys like Jones? I'm not even saying he should have been fighting Tyson and Holyfield. If he had dropped to 150-155 and beat guys like De La Hoya, Trinidad, and Mosely, then he would have earned my respect. But name me one competent, good fighter he ever faced. When he fought Hopkins, Hopkins was too young and not fully matured.

Roy Jones started out as a middle weight. Jones just moved up in weight classes once he had beaten everyone in that division. You can't compare Rocky Marciano to Roy Jones because by then there weren't superheavyweigts like Klitschko, and Lewis for Rocky to face. If Jones was to fight Vitali, he would've gotten destoryed. It's not easy for a person to go from 199lbs to 155lbs moron, Jones is built more for increasing his weight and fighting, not decreasing his weight.

First off beating Hopkins in '93 would be like beating Tyson in '83. He wasn't on his prime and still had a long way to go. Every other guy you mentioned was a chump. Except maybe Ruiz, but let's face it the guy wasn't throwing any punches in that fight, which probably means he was told to lose. That sort of stuff happens in boxing.
