Believe it or not I buy more albums now than I did before I joined this forum and found out about file sharing programs like SoulSeek and DC++. In the last 6-8 months I've probably bought 30-40 albums.

I buy a lot of vinyl records, and I have over 500 CDs. Since no new music has appealed to me in a long time I've been buying very fews CDs.

Unfortunately, most hip-hop artists gravitated towards the path of least resistance by relying on these pre-set patches. As a result, electric guitar and real musicians became devalued, and a lot of hip-hop now sounds the same.

FUCK NO! I buy 1-2 albums tops a year. I used to buy one every 1-2 weeks.

I'll buy an album if its very solid.  I'll buy probably like 10 albums a year.

Well, my problem right now is that I have a lot of tapes of classic albums, not CDs.  I use the Hookup spot to re-acquire a lot of them.

But admittedly, I don't buy a lot of albums these days.  I just pay for my Napster subscription, occasionally buy songs I really like, and that's about it.  Though there are certainly some albums I'll be buying in the store when they come out.

I don't normally buy a lot of new releases, mainly thanks to i-pod technology allowing for hi-speed ports to transfer 1GB of music in about 2min, which makes for easy sharing.

However i tend to collect cds so a lot of the ones i do buy i wait about 1yr after they came out and they drop to around $12. Same with a lot of cds i have from the 60/70/80's, i buy a lot of those because they're only $10 (US$7).

I probably buy on average 3-4 cheap albums per month.
