nah.. i'm just excited 

something new.. xbox360/ps3 is the same bigger, better faster more power struggle i got pissed off with on pc gaming.. and even worse.. they're turning those consoles into PCs.. sony's going the full hog with shopping etc..

now.. they're not only losing money on the consoles themselves.. but also setting themselves up to spend lots on maintaining all those things.. I know what they (sony entertainment online) did to "star wars galaxies" from people i work with who played that game.. they screwed over a 'good thing' in a major way and ripped off a lot of people, and lost a lot of their subscribers.. through people at work i know 4 people, most of which had 2 accounts (so lets say 6 accounts to be catious).. after sony's changes they all, and all the people they played with left the game.. they're still bitter 18 months later.. and the word sony is like a swear word around them

The Wii is nice, very creative from Nintendo. And a smart move.

But im really excited about the games that are coming to the 360. You got some crazy games on the way, like:

Gears Of War (this is going to be the first next gen game, and not just because of the graphics but because of the gameplay)
Assasins Creed ( Crazy game, from the makers of thief, the preview looks really good)
PES 6 Off course, i would buy any console just for this game
Halo 3 (no need explaining this)

and how many people on dubcc have ps3s (and haven't sold theirs on ebay like mr tt)

Zelda sales almost 1:1 with the console.

November 22, 2006 - An article is up on globeandmail.com citing Nintendo's unexpected successes with the Wii in the most important of regions, Canada. Nintendo Canada won't make an official statement regarding the exact number of units sold, but they were able to say that they did not expect the massive sell out of the Wii that they saw at the country's largest retailers.

Nintendo is scrambling to deal with the shortages of Wiis everywhere. Beginning this Thursday and Friday, stores across Canada will begin receiving their second shipments of Wii units. It has been projected that retailers should be receiving up to 50% of their launch day shipments, which would make 25-40 Wiis at most major retail locations.

"We're struggling to try and find a solution to a situation in which demand has far outstripped supply," says Pierre-Paul Trepanier of Nintendo Canada. "The expectation was that within a few days (after launch) Nintendo would still be [in] stock everywhere."
Trepanier did confirm that despite the fact that demand is currently far outstripping supply, the company is still on track to ship 4 million units worldwide by the end of 2006. With a little more than one million of those consoles hitting North America, it seems that interest in the console outside the hardcore gaming circle has been much broader than Nintendo could have hoped for.

As much as this launch has been a success on the hardware side of things, it has also been hugely successful when it comes to sales of first and third-party software. Some Canadian retailers are reporting that for almost every Wii unit sold, a copy of the Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess went with it. Ubisoft's Red Steel came in at second place, with Call of Duty 3, Super Monkey Ball: Banana Blitz, and Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi 2 following.

While the Wii is going strong out of the gate, a console's success is not determined by the first week of sales. December NPD sales data will be slightly more telling of how well the Wii will do in the future, but things are still up in the air at this point.
