Probably the ones that are selling the most, which means that they have the whole package. Albums that have club tracks, song for the chicks, serious songs, weed songs... They aim for wider public. So some Em, Jay, 50 or Snoop.

they don't really contain serious songs...and when you say they aim for a wider public. they don't...they aim mostly at teenage girls. because lets face, they are the majority that buy albums.     and shit like em 50 jay and snoop don't really know how to make serious songs. not on the level me and half the repliers on this post are meaning anyway.

and remember, i said 'hip hop' not pop.

the same goes to the guy that said the chronic....let's face it, it's not exactly a deep album is it. listening to 'fuck dre day' with hardly make people get inspired

Anyone who likes hiphop... dead prez - lets get free... Those who just listen to beats and flows love the sound, and those who focus on the lyrics will be amazed by the content.

Other than that... As mentioned already, ATCQ's People's instinctive travels and the paths of rhythm is some very easy listening for people outside of hiphop.

Stone Roses - Stone Roses

A classic album and what a debut, opens with the wonderful "I Wanna Be Adored" and closing with another great in "I Am The Resurrection"

The album Stone Roses was not only a great album but it helped infulence the likes of The Verve, Oasis, Blur, Suede, Kula Shaker, Ocean Colour Scene etc, and Liam Gallagher has been quoted as saying that he wanted to be a Rock'N'Roll Star after seeing the Stone Roses perform in concert

Also Stone Roses - Complete Stone Roses, a great album also

If you haven't heard these you should try and look them out

It was supposed to be Hip-Hop only but they're both great records (Funkadelic & Stone Roses).

ok so some of us are coming a little off track.
i'm not wanting to know what is your favourite rap album... we all have opinions.
I'm more talking about underground hiphop

Ice cubes Death Cert. isn't exactly a good album for most people. let's  be honest.either you live in the CPT and only know people from there. but back in the real world death cert isn't exactly a global pleaser when it comes to hip hop.    remember, there's are other genre's in the world other than old gangsta/studio rap
