Mark Jackson - "Kobe Bryant is a better ball handler, better shooter and better scorer than Michael Jordan"
Scottie Pippen basically saying "No, hes is not close"

Kobe Bryant Career Stats
.453 Field Goal %
1.5 Steal PG
24.1 PPG
2.9 Turnovers PG

Michael Jordan Career Stats
.497 Field Goal %
2.3 Steal PG
2.7 Turnovers PG
30.1 PPG

LOL, there ya go NIK....Mark Jackson is full of shit.  Kobe isnt a better shooter(lower FG%), isnt a better ball handler(more turnovers), isnt a better scorer (less PPG) and isnt as good defensively (less steals PG).

Put this baby to bed.

LMAO@using career stats to determine who's better when Kobe came out of high school and averaged 7 points a game off the bench in his rookie season...Priceless.

Queef, if you want to say Kobe is better you gotta look at it top to bottom.  You can't just throw out a year or two because it further disproves your point.  This is sad.  It's not Jordan's fault that Kobe wasn't ready to get real PT as a rookie.  But he played in 71 games.

Throw out Jordan's statistically worst year and compare again if you want.  At least it's apples to apples.

You're joking, right? Kobe's situation coming into the league is not comparable to Jordan's...LMAO. You make the absolute dumbest points, man. Just give the hating up, it's getting you nowhere...

LMFAO.  I could cite at least 3 occassions in this thread alone where you attempted to make a point only to be shut down time and time again.  Luckily (for my entertainments sake) you're too stupid to realize it and continue posting.

You're the one that wants to throw out Kobe's rookie year eventhough he played in 71 games.  Like I said, throw out Jordan's statistically worst year and then you can throw out Kobe's.  You're such a pussy "throw out Kobe's first year, he was so young, his situation is different".  If you're gonna make statements like "Kobe will be the undisputed GOAT" then you better back it up.

Queef, you think it's a valid comparison and throw out an entire season for one guy but not do it for the other?  Did you go to school?

LMFAO! Are you retarded or are you just pretending to be? It's not about throwing out seasons, LOLLLLL. Kobe came into the league at the age of 17 out of high school, playing behind an all-star Eddie Jones on a contending Laker squad. Any jackass with ANY sort of common sense knows that their situations are not even comparable, LMFAO@your way of thinking, "throwing out seasons". That's fucking ridiculous... :grumpy:

Nobody's throwing out years here, what don't you get? Kobe came into the league under completely different circumstances than Jordan did, developing into the player he has become while in the NBA...That's why career stats will never equate to who the better player was when at their best...Got it yet?

lmao@Nik using Kobe coming straight out of HS as an excuse.  Look at what James did in his rookie year, he shut the critics up, he played like a 5 year vet but Kobe gets special treatment because he played behind Eddie Jones lol.

anyone remember this:
Playoff Series against Utah, Rookie Bryant air-balled two 3-point shots in overtime - one with 35 seconds left, one with four remaining - that enabled Utah to escape with a 98-93 overtime victory and win the Western Conference semifinal four games to one.

Playoff seires against Celtics, 2nd year vet Michael Jordan, who only played in 18 games because of a broken leg, erases Elgin Baylor's NBA playoff record of 61 points by scoring 63 on Larry Bird.  after the game Bird responded to Jordan's performance by saying "i think it was God disguised as Michael Jordan."  Doesn't get any better than that  8)

I know Kobe was a Rookie and is now a completely different player but IMO you don't BECOME THE GOAT (kobe) You're BORN THE GOAT (JORDAN)

NIK i'm not a big fan of him (i used to love Magic and hate on this dude), but Michael Jordan was a monster, the best SG i've ever seen playing basketball. Kobe is not at the same level. Yes he will be remembered as a legend too, but man right now i think he hasn't reached Jordan's status yet. He's still 28, he can still do great things (like winning other 2-3 titles) and he's still in a process where he's changing his game (now he's playing like a real leader, and the Lakers are looking good) for good. But c'mon, even if i didn't like him (i mean being a Laker fan you couldn't love him), Jordan > Bryant. No fucking discussion.
