Did hittman put out a bunch of mixtapes around/after 2001 dropped to keep his buzz going? Perhaps this would have pushed dre/jimmy to drop his album instead of dropping him.

thats whatsup with the game right now,every rapper is droppin an uncountable stream of mixtapes,in an age where theres already so much rappers coming out the whole industry is being overflooded by mixtapes,which in most cases is nothing but a collection of the newest leaked tracks,theres only a few standout mixtapes which really are worth listening to and bishop lamont's nigger noize and ya boy's chaper 1,the rise are both a part of the last category.

back when hittman was buzzin off the 2001 album,it was not the time of mixtapes,it was just comin up around that time in the ny scene,so hittman couldnt have used that as the best way to promote himself really,but if he did i doubt we would see him as a flop nowadays,cause if Dre/Aftermath dropped him he would surely got signed by another label or something.

Hmmm,not to burst your bubble but mix-tapes has been around in NYC for ages and Hittman had a mix-tape out,I bought one from Tha Formula while they had a record store over at Torrance(right over the street from Audio Achivements,the legendary studio that Ruthless recorded all their classic's). We can argue for ages why Hittman got dropped. I see why dudes compare Bishop to Hittman,it's the charisma thing. Bishop don't have Eazy-E,Cube,Snoop,Eminem and/or Game's kind of charisma. Anyway I feel Bishop's last mix-tape,DJ Skee fuck's it up with his screaming,other than that it's hot. The 9th wonder joint could be a summer jam if they made a video for it.
As for Ya boy his first album,the production kind of turned me off,the production was wak. I like Ya Boy,but I have only heard a few tracks with good beats. The Imperial march joint he did was dope. Like somebody said before;
"I got enough room in my cd-changer to bump both,so why choose"

after hearing hittmanic verses(which I think is classic shit) I think Iovine probably groaned at the idea of marketing a chubby dude rapping over g funk. especially when in direct contrast to a thin white dude rapping over newer age dre production.

I think Bishop kinda has more charisma then Game...actually i think hitt does too. i just like game cause he wants to give the 95 g funk gangsta rap fans what they want raw and uncut. he's no bullshit, he's just like "hey I miss that g shit from the late 80's and early to mid 90's too. It'll never be the same, i ain't droppin classics and I ain't a skill-wise legend...but here's a banger for your tape deck." That's what I get from Game, so I support and appreciate him. otherwise I agree with most of what you just said.

that would be nice for me 2 as well. I always thought Hittman was dope, but his time was gone before i really started using the net a lot (lol im a younger dude) so i missed out. all i have is "murder weapon" and it only has 11 tracks, (3 with knoc-turn'al that i already had anyway). some of them are also labelled in-correctly, so i had to change the name of the songs. I still don't have the names of tracks 7 & 11.
