I called both sides evil. To get to the top and stay there you need to play ball. You can't step outside the boundaries or you'll be brought down. When the confederate states separated they had every right to, but the North came down and took them over in an illegal war. It's government intervention and it's just as bad on the republican side as it is on the democrat side. You can live in fear with your dems are trying to create socialism crap but it's already pretty communist. Tax for this, tax for that, penalty on this, penalty on that. The government chooses to enforce laws when they go against the majority public opinion. Most of this doesn't matter because the big businesses run the country. If the major stock holders in the major companies decided to leave America then it's good bye USA. The politicians know that and that's why no matter what democrats preach they'll always have a system set up for the very rich to keep their money. Bush talked a bag of shit about abortion, taxes, social security, etc in the last election but all that shit didn't change. You can still get an abortion. You still pay a bunch of taxes. You still pay social security. Nixon said it best when he was asked to describe the American people. He said "simply, stupidity.". And that goes for all masses in any part of the world. They are stupid and easily fooled with short attention spans and bad memories. Just tell them what they want to hear, do whatever you want and then deny it when you're called on it. The country's elite decide what's next for the country and they just put a puppet in the white house to take all the blame. They needed Bush in office to help justify a coming war, and they needed FDR in office (for 4 terms) to help justify taxing the shit out of Americans. They needed people that could convince a large portion of the country that something needs to be done. Anyone that thinks it's all the president's call is an idiot. The power only goes as far as it's allowed to go. The republicans can have the presidency, the senate, and congress but they wouldn't be allowed to bring in laissez faire economics if they wanted to unless it was allowed. There are people in the government and the courts that outlast politicians and don't want to deal with messes those clowns won't be around to clean up.

If you want to believe that the social elite screwing with the country is a new thing then go ahead. A simple study of the jim crow era would dismiss your beliefs but you don't have to buy into truth or logic. That's the beauty of America. You can believe in whatever lie you want.
