« on: September 20, 2001, 11:02:17 PM »
I Heard That Hot 97 Was Playing A New Nas Track From His Upcoming Album...The Track Is Called "The General" And Is Produced By Swizz Beatz...I Was Wondering If Anyone From New York Heard This Track Yet? And If It's Dope? I Read Some Of The "Supposed" Lyrics And He Has A Few Short Subliminal Disses Towards Jay And The R.O.C. Fam...

I heard peeps on sohh saying it was garbage but I think it's aight. Nas could do alot better but the beat isn't bad. He needs to come harder on the beat though.

The joint's called "Salute Me" and it's cool but got NOTHING 'matic at all, nothing crazy, especially for a comeback single. I want Nas to go back to that gritty grimy shit and STAY THERE!!! I know he's looking at Billboard but what's the point of working with Swizz now??? Dude's past due!! I want my street shit, fo' real. He should drop a Premier joint like he did for "I Am..." coz he ALWAYS comes correct over Premier. We'll see what STILLMATIC is like...

Three questions.

Why did you up this after all these years?
Why is this in the West Coast forum?
What did end up happening with "Lost Tapes 2"?
