Probably not because he's not famous enough and not flashy enough to get famous. He'll have to end up with 7 Championships before he gets his due.

theres a possibility, mostly because some of his strongest competition (like barkley, malone) dont even have championship rings

then again, bill russell has 11 rings and it really doesnt seem like the majority consider him to be the best center of all time

I don't think so.  Duncan is a great player, in my opinion, the best overall player in the game today.  But, as was said, he isn't flashy, doesn't get attention off the court or through the media, he's in a small market, and most people consider him a boring player.

He will not score as much as Malone, but he's a much better PF than the Mailman.

He's certainly up there...But I still think Malone was better overall as an individual player. Players shouldn't be judged mainly on rings when comparing talent.

He didn't ask about talent, he asked whether he would be considered the best PF ever.........TALENT is only one of the attributes that makes a great player.  There are tons of playe  rs more talented then Duncan. but are they as efficient?  Do they HAVE 4 PLAYOFF MVPS?  |Are they great leaders?  Do they play both ends of the floor........Duncan has been first team all NBA and first team defense 10 years in a row.  INCREDIBLE

Why Can't Tim just be the first Tim?

Let the past be the past
so what if a dude scores 50+ in a playoff game, all of a sudden Jordan comes up
if someone get's knocked the fuck out with one shot all of a sudden Mike Tyson comes up
ect..

This comparisson shit is killing sport's in general IMO.. (Fuck it I do it to)
but, let's give credit to dude and let him be the first Tim Duncan.

Do I think Duncan's a better player than Prime Shaq & Magic, IMO NO..
(But opinion's are like assholes we all have 1)

It's a very valid arguement.  Duncan is fucking unreal when you put his career into perspective.  If he was a loudmouth w/ more charisma a lot more people would be calling him the GOAT.

Tim Duncans career>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Kobe Bryants career

no question about it.  Tim Duncan is BY FAR the best player of the last 7,8 years
