On the second season now, first was fucking brilliant but I'm not sure about the direction this season is taking. It looks like there are gonna be two different groups BPD are investigating and that may get confusing - plus I thought McNulty and Bunk were great together.

^^^^Damn, that's still a while. Hopefully they'll release the Season 4 DVD earlier than that though. I still haven't seen it...

Bought series 1 and 2, ive watched the first series and im hooked.

I thought it was pretty slow the first few episodes and didnt really understand the hype, but by mid way i started to really get into it.

Gonna start watching the second series this week.

Yeah, when you're watching The Wire for the first time, it takes a while to get used to its pace. The way the storyline unfolds is very similar to a book - some of the writers on the show are writers (Dennis LeHane, George Pelecanos) - so it's indeed quite slow. Plus, there are so many characters on this show, it's hard at the beginning to keep up with them. The Wire requires a little effort from its watchers with all of this, but you get good television in return.

Season 2 is currently my favourite one. Haven't seen Season 4 yet though...

Season 4 was on some real shit.. it brought out the most "emotions" outta me. like i seriously felt for the characters..

Season 4 or 1 is probably my favorite.

The black street side of the storyline wasn't very strong but I though the docks side was better than anything else in the series so far. What didn't you like about season 2?
