I downloaded T.I. vs. T.I.P. & Chamillionaire's debut album, and i copped both (recently as well)

plus i'm a collector..quite a bad habit i have lol..i got the artists first 2 albums, i must get the 3rd

the purpose of downloading an album for me is to know if the album is hot or not.. back in the end of the 90es (the period I started to get into hip hop) I bought lots of albums based on the MC reputation , knowing the album has 80% of chances to be dope... since 3 ,4 years I ain't doing that no more coz lots of albums are garbage so I make sure the lp is dope before buying it ... but yeah I agree with you , most people probably don't think that way

Well I can't speak for everyone here on the forum but when my homeboy usually ask me for a link to a album, they don't buy it. I can see both sides of the issue though. I have only heard the tracks that dropped here and the album sampler. I am just going to wait until the 14th and buy the album and enjoy it then. I have done good so far with buying albums that I dig the music and I already know I will like it so I will wait.

Man, my best homie has birthday on saturday. Today, I walked into a record store to pre-order the album as a present for him, and the guy from the store said "nah it's not in the list for upcoming releases". I was like wtf!? Okay, I come from Germany, but when I pre-ordered Cubes album last year in the same store, they knew about it 1 month before it dropped!
I will now preo-order it where else. I'm undecided right now if I should listen to it on mp3 now, because it was dope last year when I listened the Cube album the first time after we got our 2 copies from the store. It's dope when you chillin witta homie and listen to a dope new album at the same time...
But I'm always so fuckin curious when you all say an album is that dope.
Well, I'll buy it anyway, cause Dub is the fuckin truth!
