I just find it hard to believe you would turn on Kobe and cheer for him to lose. But what do I know.

Nice way to dodge the white suprmacy question.

If you don't believe what I say, why should I bother replying to you? LOL.

Yea...lets go to extreme measures to make a point. If the NBA became a league which only allowed handicapped Asian players to make a roster, then I wouldn't watch it either. LOL. The point is, short of something along the lines of the KKK taking over the Lakers, I will remain a true fan until the day I die...PeACe

Bandwagon jumping sellout. I'd still support the league.

LOL@if you can't see the difference between realistic and unrealistic.

IMO, fans mean just as much to the team as the players/management do. As long as nothing extreme happens, like white supremists taking over your team and restricting the roster to aryan players, I don't see why you'd switch teams.

It's a whole differnt thing between me and you though. You live in LA. It's your home town team (at least it says so in your sig). I've never cheered for the home town team to begin with. It's a lot easier to be more loyal to players rather than teams when you have no actual connection to the city. When the Dodgers went to LA there were a lot of kids from Brooklyn that wanted nothing to do with the new Dodgers and I can see why but why would a Dodgers fan from Cleveland care if they play in New York or California. I've followed certain players from team to team, or certain coaches or whatever. I still cheer for the Bills and always have, and always will but I still wanted to see Flutie do well so I cheered for him as well and when Flutie came back and beat Buffalo I cheered because I wanted him to win, but I also wanted everyone responsible for keping Johnson instead of Flutie fired and fired immediately because they were idiots and they hurt my team.

In Toronto the the Leafs are owned by the Teachers Union more or less. The union doesn't give a shit if the team loses or not. They just care about the bottom line. In the 80s it was even worse. They had an owner that would constantly trade away the best players when their prices went up just to save money. Many of these players were Toronto boys from birth. When asked about it he basically said when the players get trade we still sell out. When the prices go up we still sell out. When we don't come near the playoffs we still sell out. The fans were so stupid to continue to support the team that wouldn't support them that the whole damn thing suffered. I was never a Leafs fan so I didn't care, but if I was I'd gladly refuse all support until something was done in a positive direction. I call that caring more for a team than just blindly following it when the team keeps fucking you over.

yeah, the whole organization is fucked up.

we need to get the board out of most decisions, and then replace Ferguson with a competent GM.

I support my home teams, why, i dunno, cause i love philadelphia, when i was younger maybe like 13 years ago my 1st best friend was a huge dallas fan and i loved them (he got me into football) and i was a fan for like 5 years, then i took a break from football, and when i started watching again several years ago, i was no longer interested in dalls, (no irving, aikman, smith, dion, etc.), so i started rooting for the eagles, and i love the eagles, they upset me a lot, but a lot of things i love about the team. Ive liked the phillies always but im not a huge baseball fan, and i did like that russian red wings team, and that hasek buffallo team, but ill still always like flyers best. I think its more of pride for my city but i like the teams. I also have like 2nd favs that are not my city team, like boston in baseball, and green bay in football, but  philly teams always come first, even if i move.
