While I do put a lot of the blame on the Lakers for not playing better basketball, there's no doubt in my mind that we'd be up 2-0 right now with better officiating. :-\

Yeah. Probably. But it's 100% certified we'd be up 2-0 playing more focused on the game.
There are two sides of it: from a fan prospective, fuck the refs and fuck the Celtics. From a non-fan/coach prospective, we played horrible basketball for 38 minutes.
You can choose the one you fit better in, but that's the truth: we'd be up 2-0 or at least 1-1 by now.

Bad officiating takes your focus out of the game. Terrible officiating does it to an even greater extent. What don't you get about that? We have no chance 5-on-8. That's all it comes down to...

I don't care...the amazing run towards the end shows how much we have on this team when we play our game. Unfortunately, the refs wouldn't let us play our game today, but I expect that to change at Staples. Lets take care of the next 3 at home, and then we only need to win 1 out of 2 in Boston. We still have a nice chance. we're the better team...PeACe

I hope this isn't a 2006 Miami Heat-Dallas series

I know. But it's the NBA Finals. I wanted my Lakers to fight back and try to win no matter what. We did it. I appreciated it.
But that means we could have done it before. You know what i mean?
We played 8 fucking awesome minutes no matter what. No matter the refs were destroying us.
We showed some balls.
The problem is we played 38 minutes without showing balls before the late run.
Next game in L.A. will be different.
But i want my team to show some balls and play like those 8 mins next time (hopefully) we will play in Boston.
Playing there is already an inferno. If the refs are going against you it's even worst. But that's where you gotta step up and show some prime.
We did.
Too late.
Next time i want my guys to show the Celtics who we are.
I want us to execute better on offence.
I want us to play triangle offence.
I want us to show them the team who dominated the WC playoff.
And i want us to take a 3-2 lead and come back to Boston to win the title there.
Only Magic's Lakers did it.
And it was something remembered for ages.
If we want to win this title we gotta realize we need something like that. Something for the ages. We need to make history.
Blaming the refs won't make us win the ring anyway.

Let's try it.

If the refs don't get involved we would murder these fools. Looks an awful lot like the 2006 Finals.

That is a spot that Ariza was doing a good job at before his injury, and now he is still working back into the rotation. Good game, I'm glad the Lakers made it close, but I don't like having Sasha in there at the end to take that 3, you know he is too selfish with the ball, and in the clutch you have to give it to Kobe. That was a poor possession. However, Game 3 coming to Staples should be a good one, I expect the Lakers to bounce back.
I got a bird's eye view
