Forgotten about West Coast singles
« on: August 20, 2008, 04:03:48 PM »
This may be a bit more for people from California, or even America.

What are some songs that were singles on radio or TV that the West Coast had, that have been forgotten about, and may only be remembered by older cats who have a good memory?

Here's some I can think of off hand....some may still be heard here and there, and some haven't been played since they came out.

DJ Pooh ft. Kam - Whoop Whoop
Comrads - Homeboys
All frum tha I - County Jail
Kausion - What can I do
LBC - Beware of my crew
WC - The one
Snoop Dogg ft. Raphael Saadiq and Daz - Midnight love
Daz - In California
Kurupt - Gimmiewhatchugot
Militia - Burn
Volume 10 - Pistol grip pump (it actually gets play in the South because it's the stroll song for the fraternity, Alpha Phi Alpha)
Conway - Nutcracka
Digital Underground - Oregano Flow
Dru Down - Mack of the year
WC - Chedda
Xzibit ft. Jayo Felony and Method Man - Pussy Pop
Soopafly - Like it or not
Soopafly - I can't hang
King Tee - Got it locked
Ras Kass ft. Dre and Mack 10 - Ghetto fabulous
Warren G - Smokin me out
Warren G - I shot the sherriff
Kam - In traffic
Westside Connection - Let it reign(rain)

I've got that Militia All Stars album laying right here. It's actually pretty good. I remember they had a feature back then in XXL mag.

Were they some sort of collaboration group of Bay and L.A. rappers?
