need some advice on free anti-virus program for mac.

For a Macbook? In that case you don't need anti-virus; they can't catch them.

Nah they can but it's very rare since the majority of people use Windows.
Anyway be careful if you're sending stuff to people with Windows, you can be sending them a virus and not even know about it lol
I heard this works good for Macs http://www.clamxav.com/
I was gonna try it but it warns you that it can move your files and it's recommended you back-up first

Macs are built on diff architecture than windows computers are. Its the same reason why we can't open up .exe files, and windows can't open up .dmg files. Macs > Windows bitches.

nope, Not saying be careless, but there are not a lot of Mac Viruses, because it's hard to program for them.

clamx for osx is probably your best bet, but osx comes with a built in AV program thats not advertised. apple update the signatures with the software updates. in saying that, there's only about 6-7 signatures in it's database which covers pretty much every osx virus
