his first two albums are west coast classics. he had great tracks on various soundtracks

Anyway, Coolio is going to have a show in my hometown next Sunday and I'm def gonna be here :)

There's a good chance I'll gonna have the opportunity to ask him some questions so if you got one holla back in this thread ;)

Very cool. Wanna see a mag or website do a piece on the making of the gangstas paradise album though:)

Coolio did really good overseas.
during the 90's, Warren G and Coolio were the westcast-rapprs that had the best sucess in Europe and globally..
he's more known in some countrys lke germny etc. "Gngsts Prdise"is one of the bggest hiphop-songs in history - kids in Brazil are sngin it...
i bet Coolio eats well off of the publishing from that song..

underrated as a rapper? i tink his old homie WC is more underated...

 Coolio's a ledgend, "it takes a theif", classic. Came out when i was like 12-13, love that album.
 "Gangstas paradise" i didnt really like to be honest. Was some good tracks.
 Of course they were his biggest albums but "my soul" was pretty good also.
 I liked his raskass collabo's.
 But these two albums were indeed slept on and are dope albums;

"gangsta walk" with Snoop was a cool video.
