Why are bananas crooked?

not all are.. i've seem some straight ones.
but i believe its to do with them drying out making them curl

so if they are very dried out they curl a lot and if they are not they're straight? do i get it right?

LOL yes. I think we are heading in the correct direction. perhaps it could also be a sign of fruity maturity. like how they also change colour when they ripen.
