People want to blame Atlantic and I'm sure there's a bunch of bullshit involved with them but Lupe Fiasco was changing and you could hear it in the first two singles which didn't make the cut and that annoying ass alt-rock project.

it is all Atlantic's fault, bottom line... they straight up put this album together and forced Lupe to work with some of these features/producers otherwise they weren't going to release the album... Lupe had to compromise with them to eat and unfortunately he just doesn't have creative control like that with his projects, at least nowadays

I don't agree with you.  Lupe brought this upon himself.  I don't really feel sorry for him in the least bit.

fuck Atlantic

first they screwed T.I.'s album royally, now Lupe's... I really hope Wiz is not the next one to get this kind of treatment  :-\

:D

Wonder if Pill saw this coming and jumped ship before he could get fucked over.

I like it.

Most chourses should have be changed.   MDMA should have been one track.  The Show Goes On sample sung is annoying.
Out of My Head should have been left off.
Some production should have been altered so it's not as poppy and insulting (The Show Goes On).

Otherwise, I like the lyrical approach - the introspection and articulation of his mental state from depression to positivity.

This album is dead to me already.

All I can still bump is "Letting Go", "Beautiful Lasers", "Words I Never Said" & "Break The Chain".

Word?

How fast did Recovery play out for you?

This, B.o.B's, and Em's albums all have a similar atmosphere.   I don't like B.o.B or Em's albums all that much and both got tired after two listens.  So far I've found more appreciation in Lupe's L.A.S.E.R.S and can handle it's content more than Recovery, which felt forced.

Didn't really expect much from this geek rapper, and this turned out to be trash
You expect me to download an album that isn't real?  Sorry, but I can't sign this.

Recovery, maybe two weeks; mostly because I gave Eminem more of a chance. Didn't care for B.o.B.'s album at all. They do all have a similar atmosphere, but something about Lupe's album just bores me quick.

But to be fair, those four songs I named are really good.
