shit i guess not, otherwise he would have ditched snoop and daz to become his own rap act lol. that's why i said it was "respectable but sad" in my previous post. dude could have done so much more musically. but i guess he's eating pretty well.

Soopafly's never been out for the props and the limelight. that's why he's never tripped off the credit thing when he co-produced every Daz-produced song on AEOM and a lot more throughout his career that we don't credit him for. he said he's happy as long as he's getting paid. i guess he's just a musician who loves what he does and unlike most people in the rap game, is not outrageously ambitious and egotistic. that's very respectable IMO although maybe a bit sad. he's basically the perfect team mate who is content to play his position and sticks to it.

to me he's one of the most complete rap artists there is(even if he's far from the best that still makes him a well-rounded rap artist). his raps are on point. he has a very unique penmanship and even if it can get a little too redundant, it suits him well. and he's a hell of a producer and a trained musician. if i were an upcoming rapper i would get beats from him as i'm sure he doesn't charge that much compared to similar producers.

soopafly is verydope, but to mean - listenin to Soopafly is like listenin to M.O.P. or Too $hort

hes only rappin about one thing - checkin bitches (in his case).
n i cant cope wit 300 soopalfy-songs about bitch-checkin n pimpchip-stackin..

my brain will melt..

yeah absolutely that's not what i meant, i mean he's a complete artist cause he can do it all and he is good in his own style, but he's not one of the GOATS... although if you listen to 300 Too $hort songs back to back i think your brain will melt too, it's not like he has multiple subject matters either (they're both doing the same kind of rap btw, too short being more charismatic and effective)

I guess i should have specified...no not in that order, it's just alphabetical.  There are so many good Soopafly songs, i can't rank them all.

Soopafly makes good money, don't you worry about that.  He gets tons of money from his hoes, enough to easily pay for his groceries and send his kids through college.  Not many people know this, but Snoop actually pays Soopafly to NOT release albums.  Snoop's career would be over if someone saw a Soopafly CD sitting next to a Snoop Dogg CD at best buy or Wal-mart.  Snoop makes sure that doesn't happen.  And i appreciate that Fly doesn't saturate the market with his stuff.  Look at Daz and them, no disrespect, but the dude has diluted his catalogue so much, he's got more bad songs than good now.  Fly doesn't want that....been in the game for near 20 years and has a little over 200 songs.  That's not bad at all, he's a man who cares about quality.  That's why you can pop in any Soopafly song and you know it'll be good...you can't say that about many artists.  And that's why he teaches so many hoes a lesson.  Because he cares about quality.  He doesn't want some no good ho running off with his money and making his customers mad, he only wants top notch hoes in his stable.

Still waiting for my dream collabo--a Soopafly/Too Short/Suga Free track!.  He's done tracks with both of them, but not all three on the same song.  Ohhh man....triccs ears would melt off if they heard a track by those three!!

Quik is the perfect comparison. I don't think he's anywhere near as talented as quik but he should have a similar career to quik. No reason this dude hasn't pumped out about 6-7 albums in the last 17 years.

yea, agreed

Jay-Z probably paid Soopafly to have his verses removed from "Lollipop/Vicious Flow" since Soopafly owned the original. I second that a collabo between Soopafly, Too Short, and Suga Free needs to happen.
