I bet there wasn't much of a market for him. They said he was in "freakishly good shape" and now he retires? I bet he only got offers from teams like Bengals, Bills, Browns, etc.

Randy Moss retires a Titan  :D

If the Jets have Revis and Aso they can bltz on every down and do so with out leaving anyone open.

Ocho & Haynesworth to NE is pretty crazy lol. But I don't think Haynesworth will work in NE AT ALL

I don't see Ocho working there either. Brady never worked well with finesse WRs. People knock his lack of supporting cast through the years but every one them were workhorses who fought for their spots and blocked like TEs. Chad is a is a great hands WR who can run precise routes, but Brady could never make precise throws. Randy worked like a dog to make some of those catches. Chad was never the type to do that in the first place.

Kurt Warner really helped Haley look better than he was. Haley couldn't get anything out of Leinart, and I don't think Cassel has the presence of Warner, or the talent around him. Bowe and Breaston are not Fitzsz and Bolden. Lucky for theChiefs that the AFC West is as wide open as it gets.

Come on, you were my go-to guy last year on dubcc when it came to the Chiefs.  Are you withdrawing your support since Wiess left?

Offensively, yes. But as long as you got Romeo and it's the AFC West you still gotta chance. No 11-5 this year though, but 9-7 might be enough to win the division, and if they play a strong run first system they can get to 9-7.

So you predict the Chief offense will rank somewhere in the top half of the league or somewhere in the bottom half?  Because I think they could be a top 5-10 offense this year.   Tight End Tony Moeki is an emerging star in the league, Matt Cassel and Dwayne Bowe went to the Pro Bowl last year, Jamal Charles is arguably the best running back in all of football, and first round draft pick Jonathon Baldwin and free agent Steve Breaston make it impossible for the defense to stack the line on Charles.  Also, we have an emerging X-Factor in Dexter McCluster.

...btw, Shallow.  KC has been taking special note of Tyler Thigpen signing with your Bills.  He's a talented young kid, who had some surprising success as a first year starter under Chan Gailey here in KC.  He's been a back-up in Miami, but now that he's reunited with Chan, he could be a huge unkown X-factor in Buffalo.  Just keep an eye on that.

Haley is going to run that offense into the ground. He simply doesn't know when to make thr right call and needs a head coach to keep him in line. He may be a great skills coach for WRs, I don't know, but he showed me nothing as OC with out WIES for KC in 09 and I expect it to be like that for 2011.

As for Thigpen; I still say Fitz is our guy.

Seahawks sign Zach Miller; 5 years - 34 million.

They should just tank, 0-16 & draft Andrew Luck.

Rams have that division locked up this year.

No way is Seattle going to do that bad this year to get Luck. It's going to be between Denver, SF, Carolina, Miami, or Cinci.

I think Cincinnati will be the worst team in the league.

Jets sign Derrick Mason to a 1 year deal. Great signing for the Jets. I'd hoped he'd come back to TN, but not surprised he picked the Jets at his age.

I wouldn't mind if the Titans grab Cotchery

Cotchery was so great. Most underrated wide receiver in the NFL. Gunna miss him.

LOL at our CB Cortland Finnegan walking out on the team today due to a contract dispute. He's scheduled to make 3.3 million this year LOL. You've got to be kidding me! He's a good player but has been on the down slide since 2008 and signed this contract 2 years ago.

Last year was probably his worst as a starter and he's looking for an extension/raise while making 3.3 mil?!?

We've got two GREAT young corners in Verner & Mccourty. If Finny wants to be a bitch, he can stay home while these two guys start.

My only concern is depth without Finny. With him, we have 3 great corners, without him, we have no depth.

Where do the Jets get all this money to sign any and everybody?  Doesn't seem fair... isn't there a salary cap?

Update on the Chiefs free agency moves:

Key Additions:

Steve Breston-  reunited with his former offensive coordinator Todd Haley, fills a huge need in KC
Kelley Greg-  Veteran defensive linemen that helped make Baltimore the powerful defense that they were.  Fills another huge need at D-Line for the Chiefs
Silas-  Linebacker and special teams specialist from San Diego.  Don't know much about him...

Resigned one of their own:

Tamba Hali-  The Chiefs resigned one of their own free agents, Taba Hali to a monster contract, something like 30 million of it is gauranteed.  But I'd argue he is one of the top 10 defensive players in the whole league.

I simply don't think Haley can run his offense with that team. I say bring Marty back and let him HC then try and get McDaniels to get out of CSt Louis and back with Cassel. That team would be AFC West Champ for the next 4 years.

Titans Free Agency:

QB - Matt Hasselbeck - The veteran QB we needed and went out and got. Also good friends with Jake Locker, excited to mentor him.
TE - Daniel Graham - Veteran TE that was a captain on the Patriots super bowl team. A leader in the locker room and a great blocking guy. A good depth signing.
DT - Shaun Smith - A nasty 300+ pound run stuffer in the middle. Stats don't impress, but Chiefs fans were pissed to lose him. I think he may surprise.
MLB - Barrett Ruud - Guy had 160+ tackles last year. A smart, instinctive player who is great in coverage. Just what we needed to cover TE's. (we were awful there last year)
CB - Frank Walker - A special teams/depth guy.

Re-Signings:
DE - Dave Ball - Had 7 sacks last year. Gonna be great in our DE rotation.
DE - Jacob Ford - Same situation as Ball. Gonna be a really good depth guy for us.
FB - Ahmard Hall - CJ likes to have this guy blocking for him.
OL - Leroy Harris - Really glad we retained him. He's key to our blocking.

We're still in the market for a vet WR but I don't think it's necessary at all. I'll be happy if we get one, but still content if we don't.

Let's shift attention to CJ's contract situation
