Jim Thome - Most underrated player ever?
« on: August 15, 2011, 10:07:30 PM »
First off, congrats on 600 homeruns, my man.

Secondly, you never hear this guys name EVER. Yet 8th player in history to hit 600 homeruns & honestly, he's probably got three solid years left; maybe more.

He's passing Griffey & Sosa. Mays is a stretch. Also never linked to HGH/steroids.

Sick.

Not exactly a five tool player but he's pretty insanely underrated.  I was pretty blown away looking up his career stats.  Knew he was good, but not that good.

Career .406 wOBA, good for 20th all-time.

I was just about to post a thread about his 600th (a few days late but better late than never, lol)...

Dude's definitly in my top ten players, been a fan since he was with the Phillies.
