Are u serious?  That's DJ Paul and Juicy J all day (even tho I've heard before that they've pulled a Dr Dre once or twice before and some of their early shit are pretty much DJ Squeeky remakes).  You're having a flash back of the good ol' days.  True Fresh's drums were one of a kind but Mannie Fresh didn't rule shit, he just made good music.

Beats By Tha Pound were on before Fresh was too.  I think they had a bigger influence than Mannie Fresh did.

i know you was like four when all this was going on so ill slide you a pass my nig.

no limit blew up first but whos style were they biting? thats right manny fresh you noticed how after westcoast badboyz it was all 808s and shit...i cant take shit away from the original bbtp squad (im a big klc and mo b dick fan) they did there thing but they could never quite get the hi hat to roll like manny...remember this is before fl programs and shit...niggas had to program that shit by hand.

juicy j and them are the same...they used alot of 808s and shit but you notice they didnt have the sound locked in how they did later until they started working with cash money on ghetty green and tear da club up thugz...up until that point they was too busy trying to ape bone thugz. they were marorly inspred by 8 ball and mjg who also dont get enough credit for they  ontribution to the southern sound.

mike dean bido and no joe and a select few others (pimp c) are the only ppl that should be mentioned in the same convo.

Three 6 murdered Bone, that's why they were sneak dissin on "The Art of War".  The Triple 6 Mafia handed their asses to em on a platinum and gold platter.  I know wat you're saying about the hi hats but I'm not fully convinced that it was all Fresh, his shit is just too New Orleans.

As far as Ball n G goes, that's day and night between them niggas.  They were on that pimp shit (space agin') and 3-6 was on some gangsta shit.

I'm listening to "blue dream and lean" now and they still don't sound shit alike

When I'm talking bout ball and g I'm talking about pre space age.....I'm talking coming out hard and outside looking in ball and g. 9mm boys, armed robbery and shit. They have said in interviews before it was a sound they made w smoke one productions and DJ squeeky...the Tennessee sound.

U know who skinny pimp and Playa fly was? Check them boys out if u haven't...

Mannie is my favorite southern producer. Cash money is black balling him.

Did you hear that new track he dropped with juvenile and Rick Ross though?! Beat was a monster

Did u really just ask me have I heard of Playa Fly and Skinny Pimp?   Smfh Peter, no good.

I guess u could say that about "Coming Out Hard" but not "On The Outside Looking In".  Juice made a beat for 8ball back in tha day, I wanna say the "Mr Big (Remix)" but I'm not 100% sure on that.

Three 6's music was more darker than the regular Memphis sound, that Memphis sound is real buck and pimpish.  Three 6's shit was dark and heavy.   I'm definitely not saying they were the only ones who had it becuz it was a popular sound but they were the niggas who really etched that shit out.  Today's music (2009-2011) sounds a lot like Three 6 Mafia inspired anthems.  Actually it started before that with Crime Mob, they were Three 6 Mafia Jr.

its safe to say the southern rap scene as a whole owes alot to new orleans and tennesee

they both were the main ones to start sampling trigga man and brown beat and that is where it all ties back into bounce.

Mannie Fresh is a legend, dude can be annoying as a rapper though(generally he's decent). I like his versatility.he could make regular bounce beats and then make very musical productions, sometimes bordering on G-Funk/Mobb like the music he produced for Kilo G, BG or Mr Ivan.
