well i really think that for some people it's a culture and a lifestyle, not for me though, i'm just a music consumer, but like if you're into hip hop, making music, dj ing, attending shows, promoting or organizing events then i don't think it's ludicrous to call that a lifestyle.

petey can actually sit there and discuss rap music made anywhere in the usa

infinite ignores "bay area" artists and confuses other artists with being from the Bay Area who aren't.  it's almost embarrassing to watch Sccit co-sign the guy who says Brotha Lynch is from the Bay area...

false.

How is it false? Hip Hop is nothing more than a music genre, a product/industry. It's not a "culture" or "lifestyle" or whatever. Hip hop nerds just like to claim it's something more so they can feel like they're a part of something greater than their sorry ass selves will ever be.

you seem to have a problem with white people, you're always mentioning them as if they were a single, united, coherent group which is misleading and not accurate, to say the least.

as for hip-hop it's a music genre, but obviously more.

It's just a music genre. Stop taking shit so God damn seriously.
And good grief is your response white.
hip hop was based of the streets before anything bruh. when the industry thought this shit was a fad and it would die, it soared even higher and they wanted in so it's not the product of the industry. it's a genre of music of course but  to some including myself: hip hop is a culture.

Hip Hop is definitely a culture.

Kinda like Punk is a culture. You'll be hard pressed to find people who say punk rock is just a music genre.
