To those who are saying, if Lil Eazy can't play Eazy, then Cube's son can't play him: Have you ever seen OMG act?

If the answer is Yes to the above, continue. If the answer is no to either or both... then please stop being so sensitive. Hollywood is a business. It doesn't matter if you were right there to experience everything first hand, if you do not know how to act, then you will not do the part justice. Plain and simple. Looking like someone doesn't mean you're the best fit.

Lol so they needed a REAL actor to play Eazy but his wackass son was good enough to play him? Okay Cube.

OMG may not have a resume and yet, we still do not know what his audition was like. He may have fit what they were looking for. Is NWA Cube really that complex? Not really. He's an angry street kid. Eazy though has a distinct voice, a distinct personality and a huge rise and fall that are important to the story.

Do you believe that all characters should be cast on the same criteria? Each role has specifics. Each role has needs. Until we see OMG act, we can only assume that he fit those specific needs for Cube. And we can tell that Lil Eazy didn't.

No. Eazy is a complex character to play, as was explained. He's not just a character where you have to mean mug and talk tough. You have to have the ability to do his voice, to have his charisma. To also act as if you're deathly ill (ultimately dying). No big Hollywood picture would allow an actor that wasn't up to par to play that role, regardless if the dad was attached to it or not.

If you do not understand this thought process, then you're expecting this to be another Hood movie on Netflix or Redbox, which it shouldn't be. If you haven't seen OMG act, you're just making an assumption based on emotion for Lil Eazy.

Yes. Street kid. Was NWA Cube talking about academics? Was he referencing his hard times as a kid being bullied? Nope. Not at all. If you cannot discern the difference between O'Shea Jackson and Ice Cube, then I don't know what to tell you.

The N.W.A. flick "Straight Outta Compton" just got christened with a drive-by shooting ... right in front of the movie crew.

Eyewitnesses tell TMZ ... the gunfire erupted outside the Compton Courthouse last week when some neighborhood guys, not actors, flashed gang signs at a passing car.

We're told the gunmen were NOT targeting the crew -- but since they were setting up outside the courthouse the bullets came dangerously close. One nearby civilian was hit, and collapsed next to the set ... but survived.

The L.A. County Sheriff's Dept. tells us the shooting is  under investigation. They have not yet determined if it was gang-related. 

We're told filming will continue this week in a rough area of Compton ... even though many members of the cast and crew are shaken, and worried about their safety.

thats crazy..makes me feel super old..Ill never forget when I heard this tape for the first time in 7th grade.. I had already been a huge rap fan, and had heard shit like 2 Live Crew, but when I heard this and Willie D - Controversy and Ghetto Boys - Grip It all within weeks of eachother, it changed the course of my life...lol

The Drive by shooting on the set of the N.W.A movie is good controversy . There will probally be a lot of Deanna at the opening night of the flick .
