Dre usually takes forever to make albums and it seems he did this shit in a short span. You can expect a solid album but this isn't going to be near the level of Chronic or 2001. seems they were working on this for the best part of a year and we know of at least one track brought back from the 'Detox' sessions. way more than long enough. if anything, a long time in production is a bad thing, Quik made classic albums in less than a month. it's good to be focused and capture an energy of a certain period than shit drag on and on with endless tweaks and changes, just shows there was no clear direction in the first place (Detox).1 yr? My point exactly. Quik isn't releasing an album. We're talking about Dr. Dre. quik released good hip-hop albums, even classics.but till today dre released revolutions.Dr. Dre is releasing an album. Not Dj Quik. Dre has a different way of going bout things. This time around, it seemed that he decided to release something to go along with the movie. He decided to sell it as if it's his 3rd album but it really isn't. i definately agree with you, what i meant was, dre made 2 albums and they changed the game, they did revolutions in hip-hop. we can't compare with quik. quik just did good hip-hop albums, thats all.
