bro relax

this is a hip-hop message board … people are guna have discussions that flow naturally

no one is really arguing, we just started talking about comeback albums ala napalm and mmlp2 was one that came up from the same era

i swear, the cats who expect forums to be extremely strict on natural conversations with no place for open discussion really irk me

when more napalm news comes along we’ll be sure to share it homie.. don’t trip

It ain't even that deep, but this is a thread about Xzibit.  If all of you want to create 10 pages of back and forth discussing Eminem albums and which one is the best, start a new thread.  All you have to do is start a new thread, post the link here, and move the discussion over.  It's been done several times in the Missionary thread when things got way off track.

no need to be anal about it… nothing goin on bout king maker at the moment

Well sure, that's how many message boards work, you are expected to stay on topic and not spam and post content that has nothing to do with the original thread.  Which, in order not to be a hypocrite, i'm not going to comment any further, just think before you entertain some of these yahoos.  You've been around long enough to not fall into the trap of getting swept into topics about 'best albums' and 'best rappers', etc.  You're better than that homie, you're an OG on these boards.  Now predictably you'll reply because you always feel the need to get the last word, but just saying, i'm not gonna address it anymore.  But no hard feelings homie, we still cool.

NHale says it’s a new song and it is not a Been a Long Time pt 2… says he did a song with X just not that type of song

that’s literally not how any message board works my dude

have u ever been on reddit? the coli? boxden??

discussions flow naturally and evolve into things that relate to the topic

so we were talking comeback albums ala napalm and it evolved into mmlp2

that’s perfectly ok

as it would be in a real life discussion

because message boards are made to mimic real life interactions

you’re just being a forum nazi now and it’s annoying tbh … but do you fam

and it’s not about getting the last word… that’s how forums have always worked and always will work. forums that are moderated super strictly to where the members don’t feel freedom of conversation die fast .. like siccness, ughh, allhiphop, ktt

just want to clear that up because you’re not the only one who thinks these conversations should be contrived, and it lowkey needs to be addressed

I fully agree with everything you've said in your last couple posts. I keep clicking this thread expecting there to be news on Kingmaker and keep getting annoyed it's just one post about Eminem after another. Eminem is not Xzibit. Eminem is not West Coast. Eminem has an active thread in the non West Coast section of the forum. Move the Eminem discussion there.

with all due respect you have 200 posts in 12 years … that’s exactly 0.05 posts per day

so it would make sense that a poster like you would only come here to get updates as opposed to coming to the forum for the sake of carrying discussions

however a lot of people come on these forums much more frequently and although they enjoy updates, they’re more here for conversation with like minded people

that’s the human element of interaction .. when there’s an update it’ll definitely get posted regardless tho

And with all due respect, when I was a mod on Crooked I's official forum 20 years ago, I would have done as SoopaflyDPGC suggested and moved this Eminem talk to it's own thread because (a) it's not on topic for people who want to talk Xzibit and (b) people who want to talk Em may not know there's an active Em discussion in a thread about Xzibit.

So miss me with all that talk about how many times I've posted here.

so how is that forum doing now??

that’s exactly my point …. lol

most people don’t like restrictions brother

go check a forum like the coli or boxden .. those forums are thriving because of the free flowing aspect of the conversations

nobody wants to be restricted in conversation….. outside of the few who only come here for updates only, which is not really the main function of a message board. there are news sites for that sorta thing..this forum is predicated on DISCUSSING the updates and letting the conversation flow naturally, as opposed to strictly providing the updates.

there’s a reason threads are called DISCUSSIONS on some forums. and discussions can build into things related to the topic in various ways..

policing a forum to that extent never ends well. u don’t have to take my word for it, just look at the history of thriving forums vs. defunct forums.

I agree, make a new thread if you want to discuss which Eminem album is best. Same shit happened in the Missionary thread, no one has time to scroll through all the off topic posts shits annoying as hell.

If that's how you feel, I guess I'll continue on with my King Crooked discussion, since I brought him up in relation to this thread. So now let's all have a three-way conversation about X, Em, and Crook in one thread that is titled Xzibit - King Maker. I'm sure that won't get messy or annoying.

What's everyone's favorite Crook album? Statik Kxng was mine because I felt like Statik Selektah's beats were some of the best Crook had ever rhymed over and beat selection has always been Crook's biggest issue for me on his solo albums. His group albims with Joell don't have that problem though. It seems Joell's input helped the beat selection.

Oh hey, the conversation naturally lead to a discussion of Joell Ortiz too. Let's add him to the discussion. Now let's have a four way discussion about X, Em, Crook, and Joell in a thread titled Xzibit - King Maker.

Do you get my point? People can veer off topic a bit here and there, but at some point when the sidebar takes over the thread, the sidebar needs it's own thread to get the original thread back on topic.

Are Eminem and Xzibit still friends?, they made: my name, bitch please II, what’s the difference, don’t approach me. Xzibit was in the 8mile movie and on the soundtrack. He was in the In da club video. But after 2003 they never worked together again I think.

i don’t think they were ever actually friends …. they just had a working relationship due to both of them being under the same dre umbrella
