Gave this album another spin today. This is definitely a failure.  No memorable songs, no replay value, no singles. Oh well...

The album is definitely forgettable. I don't think it is a bad album, but for a dre/snoop album over 30 years in the waiting, it is extremely underwhelming.

If I never heard it again, I wouldn't miss anything. Can't say that about classic or very good albums.

Each to there own.
It's not the classic we had imagined or wanted but i'm still regularly bumping this.
Listening to some of Snoop's last few albums sound so flat after listening to Missionary - the mixing/engineering really is on another level (regardless of the production direction)

I finally bought the CD with the autographed picture card.
I was going to wait to see if they will release a deluxe version with 'Thank You', but decided to get the autographed CD while I could

If this album isn’t outstanding to you please make recommendations for me to check out of a better overall product that has been released in the last few years.  I am a 90’s hip hop dude and this new Missionary album took me back to the 90’s in terms of quality, cohesiveness, replay value, and just overall vibe.

Whether we now discuss which album is better sold Snoop or RBX? Dre has brought out his son , mixed by Dr.Dre as of today 7 people have liked him on you Tube, 7? Hip Hop is dead

It's really more about the sheer volume of music that's out there now.  I can't think of one album released in the last few years that i'm still consistently bumping.  Even Kendrick's album I don't have in regular rotation anymore.  Played the shit out of it in December, now i'm over it.  Same with Missionary, played it for about 3 weeks straights, now i'm on to other things.

I go back to all these albums from time to time, they'll both fall into that category.  Who is still bumping Chupacabra daily?  Yet people were going crazy when it came out saying it was a great album.

The reason i bumped Doggystyle for months was because the CD cost 17.00 and as a kid I didn't have any money to buy new CDs, and even if i did, there were maybe 5 rap CDs at the store to choose from.  Guarantee if an album like Doggystyle or The Chronic dropped now, same thing would happen that's happened to Missionary.  It'd be forgotten in a month.  Just the way music is these days.  There's a reason why over the last 5 years there have been no timeless classic albums released.  It's not because talent has worsened.  On the contrary, with the studio technology and avenues to reach more people, music overall has gotten better, but the market is saturated.  And we have short attention spans.

If you cut the album in a playlist for 30 minutes (like back in the days with tapes)

1. Foreplay
2. Shangri-la
3. Hardknocks
4. Gorgeous
5. Last dance
6. Skyscrapers
7. Fire
8. Another part
9. Sticky situations
10. Now or never
11. Negotiator

a little equalizing and you have a 10/10 album.

It sounds like a 70s blaxploitation with these live Horns. Which is great.
Big difference with just blaze is that his shit is just samples which makes it stiff.
Best 30 minutes of music i have heard in 20 years or so.

Still think the same about the album.
Wack tracks outta da blue an Thank you are very short. 2:40 or so. So it is manageble. Still they should never put out of the blue as the starter/face of the album.

Album is short but if you add Some of the better instrumentals it is a good full album.
