Author Topic: BLUNT TIME WAS ORIGINALLY A 2PAC SONG FEATURING METHOD MAN & LADY OF RAGE  (Read 863 times)

I thought DPG did fine with it, I mean I could hear it being a lead single when I hear the DPG version it almost comes off like "Let's Play House".  Obviously Pac was just on another level and took it to a level nobody else could, but a finished and polished DPG version could've looked nice in a video.

yeah I guess first hearing it years after I got used to the Pac version where he just obliterates the beat with his energy

but you are right the Dogg Pound version is not a bad track at all

Who’s that homie at the forum that does the AI??

We need an AI Pac “Blunt Time” quick

would love to hear it as well

  • Detox is the biggest marketing deception on Earth

We need an AI Pac “Blunt Time” quick

I don't do AI music, but I put the following into Bing AI and it gave me this:

Write a 16-bar rap verse by 2Pac about smoking featuring a guest verse by Method Man that it is in time with RBX's "Blunt Time" from The Aftermath LP

2PAC
Yeah, yeah, yeah, it's the 2Pac, the rap legend, the outlaw
Coming through with the blunt in my mouth, I'm raw
I don't give a fuck about the law or the cops
I just do what I do 'cause I'm a boss

I'm a rap rebel, a West Coast icon
I got the skills to make you feel and make you cry, son
I spit truth like a prophet, I'm a martyr for the cause
I'm the one who gave you classics like Me Against The World and All Eyez On Me

I'm smoking blunts with Snoop Dogg, we're the ultimate duo
We make hits like 2 Of Amerikaz Most Wanted and California Love, you know
We're on top of the game, we're on top of the charts
We're on top of your hearts, we're on top of the rap art

Blunt time-pull out your philly
Sip a glass of 'gnac, reload your nine milli
Dancin', puffin', sippin' or set trippin'
Dimes keep on flippin' flippin'

Method Man

Yeah, yeah, yeah, it's the M-E-T-H-O-D Man
Coming through with the blunt in my hand
I don't give a damn about the law or the plan
I just do what I do 'cause I can

I'm a rap icon, a Staten Island phenom
I got the skills to pay the bills and then some
I spit fire like a dragon, I'm a legend in the making
I'm the one who got you hooked on the Wu-Tang slang

I'm smoking blunts with Redman, we're the ultimate duo
We make hits like How High and Da Rockwilder, you know
We're on top of the game, we're on top of the world
We're on top of your girl, we're on top of the rap world

Blunt time-pull out your philly
Sip a glass of 'gnac, reload your nine milli
Dancin', puffin', sippin' or set trippin'
Dimes keep on flippin' flippin'
"Detox" is a myth -- Bigfoot, Loch Ness Monster, Area 51, Iraq having WMD, Detox...you get it now?  It was invented by the Aftermath marketing department to maintain the fans' attention.  Notice how everytime a new Aftermath album is ready to come out, they always mention Detox is next up?  Because they are using the invention of "Detox" as a way to market other albums.  The sooner you realize that Detox is NOT REAL, the sooner you'll feel liberated.  Oh yeah, f.u. Aftermath for fooling us fans.

If you peep Dr. Dre Presents The Aftermath comp booklet, you'll see this on a page.

Okka

Pac always made these tracklists and a lot of the songs never ended up being recorded. Method Man never recorded his verse. Pretty sure Rage did though 'cause she posted about the song years ago on her IG. No mention of Method Man though.

yeah man summer of 2001 I was moving apartments and got all my cd cases stolen (they thought the cd's were inside).  Still depressed about that shit.

...but thanks for postin, hadn't seen the inside of this in a long time, and I like the quote from Nationowl it sounds dope (though I'm all about the past, but then again in 96' we were all about the future cause the future seemed dope back then, we didn't know Bill Gates would lock us all down put masks on our faces and try to convert humans to AI)
