Drake has filed a pre-action disclosure petition asking a judge to order UMG and spotify to turn over all communications and documents relating to the publishing and promotion of the song not like us by Kendrick Lamar. Drake and his team are alledging UMG, Interscope and co-conspirators engaged in directly paying or discounting fee fees in order for people to promote, recommend, and/or use bots to inflate the streaming numbers for the song. Once the judge granted the order Drake and his team are saying they will be able to file a civil Rico lawsuit and a claim under a New York business law.

Yeah like Drake didn't use any 'other means' to inflate numbers for his own dreadful music. He is not going to come off well from this. ANd if it comes out watch him be all "but, but, it was the label, I didn't know".

I support dis lawsuit. It's UMGK over here with me and mines.

So, I watched a video over the weekend where the guy was talking about how AI could be used to pull off a psyop. The video is posted below for reference. One of the technologies that was named was that witch SIRI lol. (SIRIK, we smokin' on her too!) "Hey Siri, STFU." "Siri, what set you claim?"

Siri is of course an AI tool of Apple.

Quote
Use Siri to play music on iPhone
Apple Music subscribers can use Siri to control music playback on iPhone.

Activate Siri, then make your request.

When the man in the video talked about a psyop, I was taken aback. This was because I had already given thought to AI being able to control the population, without the population being aware of it. This confirmed my thoughts even more. I already knew that AI could be used to make something popular. However, the idea that it could be weaponized in music or that it could go rouge is something I had never considered. I then began to think of the Drake lawsuit.

This is where Drake and what he's being saying not only comes into play... Dare I say, it's even being validated.

Drake makes wild claim that Apple was paid to ‘purposely misdirect’ Siri requests toward rival Kendrick Lamar’s song

For the record, I'm not a fan of Drizake at all. Or Kendrick for that matter. I'm nicer than both of them! You know what tho? I do that that Come and See Me song. It's the hopeless romantic in me, what can I say. I say that all of that to say, this isn't about choosing sides. It's about exposing the dangers of AI in the hands of multi-national corporations and the manipulation of music.

Let's get into this.

From the article above;

Apple gets dragged into messy artist rivalry
According to Billboard, Drake is taking legal action against his music label, Universal Music Group (UMG), as well as Spotify.

The artist claims the two conspired to boost rival Kendrick Lamar’s song ‘Not Like Us’ in which Lamar makes a big allegation against Drake.

But it’s not just UMG and Spotify who are in the hot seat with Drake. In a legal filing in Manhattan this week, the artist alleges that Apple is involved too.

From the legal filing:

Quote
On information and belief, UMG paid, or approved payments to, Apple Inc. to have its voice-activated digital assistant “Siri” purposely misdirect users to “Not Like Us.” Online sources reported that when users asked Siri to play the album “Certified Loverboy” by recording artist Aubrey Drake Graham d/b/a Drake, Siri instead played “Not Like Us,” which contains the lyric “certified pedophile,” an allegation against Drake.

I only want to focus my attention on Apple at this point and its AI tool Siri as well as why I believe that Not Like Us was indeed a psyop. In my opinion, UMG wouldn't have to pay Apple to make Siri play Kendrick. Apple itself is incentivized to already to do so as we'll soon see. On top of that, the AI could have come to the conclusion on its own to do it simply because it's programmed to do what's in the best interest of Apple. This is what I meant above when I mentioned the AI going rogue.

Is there an incentive for Apple to boost up Kendrick over Drake?

Kendrick Lamar to Perform at Apple Music Super Bowl LIX Halftime Show Sunday, February 9, 2025, on FOX
Quote
"The Apple Music Super Bowl Halftime Show is a celebration of the music we love and the incredible artists who make it, all on the world's biggest stage. Apple is thrilled to bring this show, starring the absolutely incomparable Kendrick Lamar, to fans worldwide with Apple Music's industry leading Spatial Audio quality along with tons of exclusive videos, interviews, playlists and so much more across Apple Music." - Oliver Schusser, Apple's Vice President of Apple Music, Apple TV+, Sports, and Beats.

So let me get this straight. An Apple AI called Siri will play a Kendrick Lamar song instead of a Drake song when you ask it to and now Kendrick is going to perform at the Superbowl halftime show controlled by Apple? That alone should raise your eyebrows but there's more.

Who performed at last years Superbowl? Dr. Dre and the artist that he has produced for over the years. Who put Kendrick on? Dr. Dre. Is there a connection between Apple Music and/or Dr. Dre and/or Kendrick Lamar?

You have to think the rest out for yourself. ::)

I was gonna say, people have built bots and AI to constantly stream music to inflate streams.  Can't really rely on number of streams as a measurement of a song's popularity anymore.

Did Kendrick's team ever deny using bots? lol I saw Universal passed the ball to Kendrick when the allegations came out.
