but like b. laden said.  the sound quality also didn't sound properly mixed and polished.  RAW on the other hand did have some cuts that banged out the speakers as well as anything I'd ever heard before..

"My speakers bumpin down the streetz
My speakers bumpin down the streetz
My speakers bumpin down the streets
Wit nuthin, but bass!"

So the mix and polish on RAW actually sounded more professional to me than Dillinger and Young Gotti.  I  respect your tastes as much as anyone, along with Sccit.  So if ya'll say Dillinger and Young Gotti is dope, salute for finding something in it that I didn't.  But I remember bumping the opening joint, "Dip Wit Us" on repeat -- but trying to get through the rest of the album was a chore

...and with Daz always wanting to make a quick buck, and Kurupt being known for uneven efforts after Death Row, you have to wonder how much effort they really put into it.  Dogg Food we know took months even years to record if you consider everything from the sounds and lyrics and artists they used on the record, so the polish was unquestioned.  They said in an interview they recorded like 100 tracks for Dogg Food.  It was a massive effort put into that album not just from Daz and Kurupt but the entire label behind them.

Suddenly you got just Daz and kurupt wanting a quick buck, I just didn't trust the album

this is straight nonsense and tells me you didn't listen to it because you're only going by what another poster said

dillinger and young gotti was produced masterfully and mike dean is responsible for the sound.. mike dean is unequivocally a top tier producer well regarded in not just hop hip hop, but the entire music industry

just admit you never tried getting into it and are using an emotional bias against it

many feel the same

i had a homie (RIP) who was a huge hip hop head that used to argue me up n down how dillinger and young gotti was superior to dogg food due to the musical aspect, which mike dean absolutely killed

obviously i used to tell him he was nuts .... however, that don't take away from how great that album was

on this album , Kurupt is  Inexpressive ; and Kurupt one of my fav ever
the vocals lack presence specially for Kurupt . some beats are good but you can not compare dillinger and young gotti  to RRGB or even RAW.
RRGB , RAW add something original that dont have this album .
To each his own    i bought this album the first day and neva been a fan but yeah some songs are really great
i prefer Same Day, Different Shit

kurupt's vocals are fine on dillinger n young gotti .. was he using the space boogie style? less lyrical, more direct .. sure

but the album is lightyears ahead of same day different shit and i personally put it over raw and rrgb

btw i might agree with higheyecue that raw > rrgb as well

this nonsense that Kurupt was spitting nonsense is nonsense lol

what I'm saying was Kurupt already had made just from Dogg Food and the stuff from Death Row

by '98 he had gotten his own label a double album as his 1st album no less so why should he be as hungry as he was?

but what pisses me off is the fact that he "fell off" was put out as narrative without fact checking the whole situation..

he had it but only used it when he wanted to and to prove that he still had in his back pocket

and I came to this conclusion after being fascinated for this album for almost 30 years why do I love the track "Fresh" and it finally hit me the reason was that it was close enough to Death Row Kurupt than any other track on Dogg Food

the difference is he freestyled it because he rarely wrote any more and if he could do that just with a freestyle just imagine if he had to write a song how dope it would be...'98 proves to me that he could just show up to the studio hear that Daz Death Row beat one take freestyle it and go home and it was as close to Death Row Kurupt as any track since he left

Okay now you went too far... u put Dillinger and Young Gotti ahead of RRGB??  At this point you are straight up hatin on RRGB.  What do you have against it?? The album has everything.  Daz is still in his prime spittin and production and all star supporting cast on the boards with Priest and on the mic Pac, Kurupt, Tray Dee, Kurupt, Bad Azz all in their and even you love MC Eiht and the Bay Area and everyone spits their A game because most are in their prime still. Plus you got legit Dogg Pound cuts on there anyway.

Your age is showing because the only excuse for that is your were a bigger head and living and breathing hiphop when Dillinger and Young Gotti came out and you were late to the party on RRGB

this is what I'm trying to get through to you me you and Sccit are all in the same boat believe me

we are all brothers who are trying to achieve the same goal and I'm a couple of years older

but we were brought together because we are not brothers in the literal sense but we are all trying to achieve the same goal

why do you think the narrative has put out there that Trump is Republican?

isnt Trump a free thinker who hates being controlled and is so incensed that he is forced to play the role of puppet reading a script for an evil narrative that he goes off kilter during his speeches

look when you are a man of the social status of Trump who is being forced to read a script of why we are starting the war

when you are a man in his peak in hip hop like Kurupt who is being ridiculed for falling off and spitting nonsense when maybe he was playing them all along

when you are the greatest man in history who might be forced to come back when he sees this narrative being pushed by false prophets?

now we all know who that man is and we all worship a version of him

he is God, Mohammad and Jesus

I feel so confident right now im going to reveal my IG

https://www.instagram.com/conkalas1971/

I need some sleep because I've been through a tumultuous week exposing a false prophet like we have exposed here and will continue to do with others who are dumb enough to try and deceive a Godly man like we all are and he's playing Jesus the Messiah but also Jesus the Middle Eastern Jew who is also the same person. I think we already defeated the enemy at least in this forum

now I need some sleep but you can also reach me via IG

just friend me and Ill get to it tomorrow which is actually later today 8)

it's heralded by many west coast heads as a classic or near classic at worst

just admit u slept on that album in real time

it was a big part of that early 2000s west coast resurgence era u always rant about

He's either drunk or someone hacked him...

Reminds me of the good ol days of the forum...

— beefs
— confessions
— changing allegiances
— suicide posts like goodbye notes
— someone gettin "exposed" like personal accounts or their real life vs forum image
— religion and politics gettin mixed in

This is a throwback day at the dubb, only I was single-handedly keepin the old spirit alive all these years
