why Dj Quik is a better producer than Dre

Jus listenin 2 balance and options... everyone knows that quik is one of the most slept on artist/producers, but damn his cds are fuckin amazin, (not sayin dre's arent) but the reason i would say quik is better than dre is that he releases way more music, and never fails 2 come dope on every single one. Not just producing though, listen to put it on me when theyre rappin together... quik was by far the better rapper on that track.  Quik and dre's music always bangs but the fact that quik puts so much more out and never slips up is amazin, the mans a genius

this aint about who is known more though is it? its about who is better, and quik is slept on, just because somebody is more well known more, doesnt mean they are better, theyre just maybe more commercial, or in the lime light.. whatever..

quik is betta than dre...musically, lyrically, everything...just cause dre is more popular doesn't make him better....dre relies too much on sampling...quik knows how to play a lot more instruments than dre and brings variety into the game....hawaiian, calypso, jazz, funk...and incorporates them into hiphop....you pump dre's beats 3 times and you are already sick of them....pump a quik beat, and you'll hear something new each time you hear it....ya know?

But Quik's shit is several times deeper in terms of the arrangement, melody and so on. It's hard to argue who is the better producer, but as far as musicianship, Quik has it every time.

Yeah Quik is just much more musical than Dre and therefore the layering of his beats mean that you do just keep hearing new shit in them every time you listen. For me Quik is the best producer on the west at the moment fa sure!!

I agree, plus imo Quik is one of the most creative and well rounded artists.  He's hella original too, and tou can just tell how much effort he put in his beats when you bump them.  I'm not saying that Dre's wack btw.

for one dre knows how to mold a beat and make new sounds.....quik's beats are more or less carbon copies of roger and zapp, parliment, and if anyone knows who george benson is, if you listen to his songs you notice a huge simularity to him and quik. not to take away from dj quik but his beats are just toy models of thos following artists.  that's 1 reason why i can put dre  above quik


to just say oh yeah  i like quik better than dre ....so that equals he's better is a silly thing to say , study music some more then compare  the two, learn the diference between opinion and fact then i bet you'll say the opposite
