The Most Famous Artist In The World
« on: June 20, 2003, 08:13:01 AM »
Is there anydoubt that it's Michael Jackson? Look at the stuff I found about him from the past couple days...

First, they were interviewing Lou Ferigno about the incredible hulk in t.v. guide this week (He played the hulk on the television show)... Michael Jackson came up.

"TVGO: Michael Jackson was a personal training client of yours. Did he wear make-up when he worked out?

Ferrigno: Not so much I know of, but when Michael's with me, he's really himself. And I always have a great time with Michael."

So, this week, Michael was involved in the Incredible Hulk Saga...

Then, today, an article comes out interviewing Kate Hudson.. apparently, it's the night after Puff Daddy threw some big Party in new york.  All she wants to talk about is the party, and who she met at it.

"I met Michael Jackson." Pause. "That was definitely interesting, to say the least."

So, in what way was meeting Michael Jackson interesting? Another pause. "Well, it's Michael Jackson. You don't know how to respond to -- it." Meaning Jackson's notoriously worked-over face.

So, how did he look?

"Well, first of all, I'm a huge Michael Jackson fan. I love his old stuff. And you know -- he looked better than I thought." Her relief sounds genuine. "I thought it might be a little -- shocking. But I wasn't that shocked."

---------------------------------------------------------------------------

So Mike's hanging out with Puff Daddy and Kate Hudson now.

Anyways, lets move on.

Tricky was interviewed yesterday about his new album.  Who did he want to talk about? MICHAEL JACKSON, of course.

"It seems to me that we've started to move into an icon age," he says. "You don't have to have a craft, you don't have to have a talent or do anything except be famous. It's the Justin Timberlake age. People say Justin Timberlake is the white Michael Jackson. Don't be silly. There's no way he's in the same league as Michael Jackson. Then I see him on the cover of a magazine saying, 'I've got a dark side'. The guy doesn't know he's gay yet. Come on!"

-------------------------------------------------------------------------

Monday, Hollywood held Gregory Peck's funeral.  Of course, Gregory Peck is one of Hollywood's oldest and most beloved stars, it was a tragedy to see him go.  Of course, being so famous and all, Michael Jackson was a close personal friend of Mr. Peck, and was at the funeral.

"Singer Michael Jackson, who wore a red velvet jacket, arrived just before the gospel reading and was escorted up the far left aisle to the front. According to family spokesman Monroe Friedman, Jackson and Peck had been friends for years, visiting each other at their homes."

--------------------------------------------------------------------

Last Week, he was hanging with Jesse Jackson (wtf?)

MICHAEL JACKSON, the gloved one, made a surprise appearance with the Rev. Jesse Jackson last Thursday when they attended a Rainbow/PUSH Coalition breakfast planning meeting at the First Church of Deliverance on South Wabash, hosted by Bishop Otto T. Houston III.

The entertainer graciously signed autographs and took pictures with the guests, who were in shock and awe of him.

The Rainbow/PUSH Coalition Conference is at the Sheraton Chicago June 21-25. "

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------

The FBI Know Michael.  They've even named one of america's wanted after him.

"FBI chasing the 'Michael Jackson bandit'
June 12 2003
Los Angeles

Frustrated Los Angeles police and FBI agents have asked for help from the public in their hunt for the "Michael Jackson bandit" - an elusive armed bank robber known for wearing a single glove.

Authorities have issued a reward for the suspect, who has so far pulled off 16 bank robberies in the Los Angeles area. They say they are anxious to stop him before someone gets hurt.

FBI spokeswoman Laura Bosley said authorities began calling him the Michael Jackson bandit after he showed up on one of his first heists wearing only one glove - a habit most often associated with the one-time King of Pop."

------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Last Week, he caused Near Riots when he returned to his childhood home of Gary Indiana...

Jackson certainly put Gary on the map
Monday, june 16, 2003

He may not be No. 1 on the charts anymore, but after last week there is no doubt about who’s King of Pop.

Love or hate him, there’s something about Michael Jackson that just makes you want to see him.

I’m not sure anyone can define it, but even people who claimed not to care the great gloved one was coming to town swooned when they got to see him up close.

Some complained that not even the president would get such a welcome. But I don’t recall a president recording the top selling CD of all time.

There were bodyguards everywhere, cops who had to actually do some work for the first time in years, and media people from around the globe.

In one day Jackson managed to bring more attention to Gary, Indiana, than Miss USA ever did.

Fans came from everywhere. “I know of four from Spain and a couple from Tokyo,” said Gary Mayor Scott King spokeswoman LaLosa Burns, who was deluged with bizarre requests.

One reporter heard King say he got a request from a woman in France who wanted him to serve Michael with paternity suit papers. The mayor, recognizing it was a crackpot, reportedly said he made it clear he doesn’t serve process papers. Then quipped he wouldn’t do it anyway, since France didn’t support America in the war.

Some area residents claim to be afraid to come to Gary, but Burns said some people from around the country spent the night sleeping on blankets on City Hall grass.

Gary school bus driver Wyatt Puryear came with a 2-ounce bottle of Michael Jackson for Men cologne he bought in the 1980s, and said Michael autographed it.

Christina Doherty, 20, said she drove 13 hours to get here from Fargo, S.D.

Gary schools Superintendent Mary Guinn did her own version of the “Chicken Strut” (don’t ask) as she got up to introduce MJ and had her hand on his thigh as they sat for a panoramic picture.

It must have been difficult for Michael to resist performing.

Some people who live near the Jackson boyhood home at 2300 Jackson St. had a good day as visitors paid $10 each to stand in some yards so they could get a closer look at Michael.

Then there’s Kristie Dixon. She saw Michael’s itinerary on the MJJForum.com Web site and flew to Gary from near Charleston, S.C., where she’s a college student.

“I was sick all night vomiting and I just couldn’t get up to go until 5 a.m. I literally drove 100 mph to the airport but missed my plane by two minutes. I just cried all day.

“I caught a later plane but by the time I got to Gary it was 5 p.m. I was sooo disappointed. But I did get to see Michael at night and that made it worthwhile.”

Even if it was a bit chilly.

She wore a halter top and flip flops with no jacket because it was 85 degrees when she left home, but near 40 degrees in Gary.

“I froze my butt off.”
---------------------------------------------------------------------

They even made a webpage about it...

http://www.post-trib.com/jackson/jackson.html

So, that's the life of the most famous artist in the world.  If you visit your hometown, cameras are there, you get the key to the city, people pay 10 dollars to stand next door to your house, people travel from spain and Tokyo to see you, if famous people in hollywood die, you get front row seats at the funeral, you hobnob with the most famous artists in the world (puff daddy, etc.) and are invited to the hottest parties, you meet starlets, Hang out with presidential candidates, etc. etc. etc. etc. etc. etc. etc. etc.

No one else comes close.

"In" the world, that means no dead people.  The beatles don't count, they're half dead, and don't do appearances and stuff, I'm talking about 1 person who is more famous than anyone else (entertainment wise).  Bush is probably the most famous person in the world, but Michael Jackson just may be #2, I know he's the most famous artist.  Eminem isn't even close, even little kids out in the bush in Africa know who Michael Jackson is.  On second thought, though, they might not recognize him, lol.

I like in the story up top where they talk about him going to Gary, they mention the school principal sat down with her hand on Mike's thigh, LOL.  She's tryna get her a lil' bit

That's debatable, but he is certainly the ugliest artist in the world.

Macy Gray, Tray Deee, Nelly, Busta Rhymes, I could name 1000 people that are uglier than him.  He just looks like a white guy now, if you didn't know what he looked like before, you probably wouldn't think he looks that strange.

He is the most popular artist in the world. There is no doubt about that. I don't think as many people in the Middle East and Africa know Elvis and The Beatles as Michael Jackson. The rest of the world, all 3 are known about equally. To the members who named Eminem and 2Pac, please get real.
