It's a better CD (notice I didn't say album/LP) than his first.

CalebOhio: I think i can speak for many others when i say my favorite rap artists are white but i still want black artists to be dope. they are chosing not to be. that wouldn't be a likely believe held in a white supremacist group. I want Nas to deliver evertime but he doesn't every time Sage does. so Sage gets my $15 regardless or his status. fuck your status perception and labels you use.

The album is off the hook. My only beeef with it is the weak beats, but L makes up for it.

Most of the cd is pretty tight, it ain't as ruff and dark as "Lifestylez Ov Da Poor & Dangerous", but there's alot of dope songs, sum nice guest appearances and as for L's verses I like it even more than his debut....definitely worth buyin

4/5

Most hip-hop is now keyboard driven, because the majority of hip-hop workstations have loops and patches that enable somebody with marginal skills to put tracks together,...

Unfortunately, most hip-hop artists gravitated towards the path of least resistance by relying on these pre-set patches. As a result, electric guitar and real musicians became devalued, and a lot of hip-hop now sounds the same.

taking into a account it's a postmortem LP it is just plain good.

I don't really like the beats either, production-wise "Livestylez Ov Da Poor & Dangerous" is better in my opinion, but lyrically L was probably better on "The Big Picture". Especially "Casualties Of A Dice Game" is... :o

I heard your single, you better make a whole new song

true, that or his verse on "Platinum Plus" he started with 17 oh-oh double rhymes. Or "The Enemy", my fav anti-cop verse ever. But IMO the sickest was "Ebonics", the combination of flowin, rhymin and explainin slang is pretty :o :o . I think he said it was no overnight shit himself...damn, this album is more than dope lyrically

yeah, but I was even more impressed wit "The Big Picture". L was the shit on nearly every song he spit on tho, that aggressive ass style he had on "Lifestylez" was tight too...my fav might be his "Graveyard" verse, Lord Finesse sounds lame after that lol
