Trauma what times were u made for?
« on: March 01, 2004, 11:20:56 AM »
i would have like to have grown up in the fifties, been a tennager after the war, i think the world was a better place then we had more freedom rather than the police states were moving towards now

iraq would just get annexed by iran

That would be a great solution.  If Iran and the majority of Iraqi's are pleased with it, then why shouldn't they do it?

lmao, that question could have been asked by me... :D

props
Cause I don't care where I belong no more
What we share or not I will ignore
And I won't waste my time fitting in
Cause I don't think contrast is a sin
No, it's not a sin

i wish i lived in the 60s-70s, i would have loved to be a Hippie, and just smoke pot, and fight for cuases, there was so much going on at that time, but yet it was such a "real" time, shit seriosly has changed,

I enjoy living in these times, but I think I would have been better suited to be born around 1955 or so.  When I was a kid, I grew up listening to old music, until I was 12 I hadn't heard anything new on the radio.  I think it had a profound effect on me, I'm more interested in the past then in the present.

By the way, as testament to his genius, I present the lyrics to "I just wasn't made for these times", written by Brian Wilson & Tony Asher for the 1966 Beach Boy's "Pet Sounds" album... voted recently the greatest album of all time.

"I Just Wasn't Made For These Times"
(B. Wilson, T. Asher)

I keep looking for a place to fit
Where I can speak my mind
I’ve been trying hard to find the people
That I won’t leave behind

They say I got brains
But they ain’t doing me no good
I wish they could

Each time things start to happen again
I think I got something good goin’ for myself
But what goes wrong

Sometimes I feel very sad
Sometimes I feel very sad
(can’t find nothin’ I can put my heart and soul into)
Sometimes I feel very sad
(can’t find nothin’ I can put my heart and soul into)

I guess I just wasn’t made for these times

Every time I get the inspiration
To go change things around
No one wants to help me look for places
Where new things might be found

Where can I turn when my fair weather friends cop out
What’s it all about

Each time things start to happen again
I think I got something good goin’ for myself
But what goes wrong

Sometimes I feel very sad
Sometimes I feel very sad
(can’t find nothin’ I can put my heart and soul into)
Sometimes I feel very sad
(can’t find nothin’ I can put my heart and soul into)

I guess I just wasn’t made for these times
I guess I just wasn’t made for these times
I guess I just wasn’t made for these times
I guess I just wasn’t made for these times
I guess I just wasn’t made for these times
I guess I just wasn’t made for these times

A year later, the man, depressed and paranoid the world was against him, his father wanted him dead, and his music wasn't any good, went to his bedroom, and closed the door for 2 years.

I was made for the early 90s. Bring back Ninja Turtles, Nintendo and Mullets!!!!
"One day Alice came to a fork in the road and saw a Cheshire cat in a tree. "Which road do I take?" she asked. "Where do you want to go?" was his response. "I don't know," Alice answered. "Then," said the cat, "it doesn't matter."

i wish i was born in 1959 that way i would've been 16 in 1975 and i would've been able to join a militia when the lebanese civil war started ....that way i would've been able to kill some palestinians , syrians and some syrian/palestinian supporters ......i would've probably ended up dead but ...meh...
