WCC 'Suggest A Rule'

OK... since we've had probs in the past since we've operated with 'unwritten' rules we should discuss the new rules.... now is the time to speak your piece.


General Posting Rules

- Quote sources when posting news from external sites... let them have their props since they worked for it.

- Post should be made in the correct section.  (Don't cross post in multiple sections)

- Spamming the board with advertising will get you a ban. (1 post in the relevant section is ok).

- Having multiple accounts and using them to manipulate discussion will get you banned. (permission can be obtained for extra accounts if good reason is provided)

- Rasicm and/or religious bigotry will not be tolerated in any shape or form.

Avatars
- No porn! (basically no nips and coochie shots)
- Keep them to a reasonable size.. and dont have millions of them!

Forum Politics

- Don't beg to be a mod, it will never ever happen if you do.
Mod's are chosen due to merit and conduct on and off the forum.

- 'Connected Sites' chosen on merit and contribution to the community. Don't turn up and expect a link without having being involved day to day on WCC without ever having posted.

- Mod's found manipulating discussions by editting/removing posts will be mods no more.

Illegal Music
Bootlegs
- Trading and Selling of bootlegs is prohibited.
MP3s
- No posting of direct links. Links to sites containing them is ok. (coz then the file doesnt come direct from a link on wcc, but from a link on an external site).
- Dont harrass people publicly or privately for mp3s... they dont have to do *anything* for you. if you cant make the effort to go get them from irc, then its on you.

We've actually been through the whole discussion before in Anything Goes. This is how it was resolved. I didn't actually just invent those reason's, they're what people put forwards in that discussion.
