COme on CLiche, you are playing yourself!  I am not usually one to stick up for Xzibit these days, but 2.5 for REstless?  I mean sure, it was a departure for Xzibit, but no way in hell that cd is only 2.5!  Too many banging songs for that rating, you shoulda kept the cd and actually listened to it instead of selling it after a week ;)

Cliche, u know i too am pissed off a little with Xzibits newer style, but at least give Restless a chance.  I think you may be hating on the "overground" a little too much lately....try to look at somethings (like Restless) a little more objectively ;

Besides, do you really think Restless is as bad as MVM, or are you just grouping it in with "that kind of music"?

Yo I look at it like this homies...
Some peep's listen to music on a subway or wit' headphones on. In Cali......we don't. (MUCH)
ImO...Bumpin' music wit' phones on can sometimes blow out ya headset's n shitt..lol be careful.

Nahh fo real tho, "Restless" ImO was a banger from begining to end and even featured all of the producer's yall' make such a big fuss about I don't understand why all the negativity towards this one..:
"Dr Dre"
"Rockwilder"
"Dj Quik"
"Erick Sermon".....danmm!!! even on paper that lp is bangin'
IMO

"Man (vs) Machine" follow's in this formula for me, I'm from the land of Sunshine & love my bump's.
Although I like all of X's releases Equal, There is just something about Xzibit when he Pump's us up out here by throwin' it down for us.
His Str8 Westcoasin' is why I like his shitt...he always holds it down for California and Big Bad Los Angeles.

i listened too it for a month before it dropped tee  :P

it just got too old too fast... its not like 2.5 is wack... its just average... its not as good as 40 days... and 40 days isn't worthy of a 4...

Infinite pretty on point here except that first three are easily classic and man vs machine is a solid 4/5. All those albums aged incredibly well.

This my O.G. account I been here as long as anybody wit as much posts as anybody but Overseer accidently deleted the shit back in the day cause I had an alterego "Political Gangsta" and he got mixed up on which accounts I was using...but I been down on these forums going back to SnoopsDogghouse back in 98' around the time Bad Azz Word on The Streetz was released I remember cause that was like my first time ever reading an album review on the net.. and then WCKillaz Trauma's forum.. Dreday forum.. and The Eminem Bodyrott forum (where I used to get called an Em dickrider which was dumb because I got hated on for supporting Eminem on a forum that was was named after Eminem and dedicated to Eminem, so go figure) the official sites for Eminem and for Dre were the shit also back around the release of Dre's second album and MMLP

...Anyway.. I was hype when this shit comes out because it bangs like all the previous Xzibit albums for most of the record and then suddenly falls the fucc off after "Say My Name".  Some of the beats towards the end are unlistenable.  It could of been another classic if he just would've had the Premier track on the regular album, and cut the album off after like 13 tracks or so to take off some of the filler... bangers include

"What a Mess" the premier banger from the bonus disc
"Symphony in X Minor" This beat was so crazy I had it as my ringtone for years
"Say My Name" this was actually even better than the Em joint from Restless, and Nate does his thing on it

Then a lot of other solid joints like that 80's Sample of "I bless the rains down in Africa" by Toto, love that track, and then the Snoop joint is nice and it slaps, couple other good ones.. "Release Date" was a nice opening idea with the album release being analogous to him getting released from prison .. though never understood what the fucc he meant by "give my naked pictures away" lol

This album does sort of mark the end of the West Resurgence movement that started with Snoop's Top Dogg album Spring 1999 and then ended with this album Fall 2002

It didn't have a forum but Eminem's official website from signing with Dre up until he really exploded with MMLP was over on this underground hip-hop website I think it was called hip-hopsite.com but they used to sell a lot of underground albums like I remember buying Bizzare's Attack of the Weirdos off of there... but you could click from the main website and go to Eminem's page and they used to have a lot of exclusives...  I think it was actually Paul Rosenberg postin the updates on there.  Sometimes they would drop some exclusive snippets of upcoming tracks way in advance of it being leaked anywhere else

from what i can recall, the dre2001 forum was the last forum everyone was posting at and became the blueprint to this one .. overseer, big jake, b-please, narrator, engies, phiasko, trauma, sikotic, tanjint, and a few others i can’t name off the top of my head. i remember b-please and seer in specific made it happen. b-please went on to start weak ass siccness.

This forum really had 3 fathers... Dreday forum, Trauma's WestCoastKillaz, and the Dre official site.  My favorite of the 3 was the Dreday site.. they had the best exclusives of any site and I'm 99% sure they had a forum... I had "What's the Difference" Hitman version like 5 months before the album dropped also, "Forgot About Dre" with a different beat 5 months before the album, "Kim" like a year before the album, "Dope Beat" like 4 months before the album, "Next Episode", “X” I had like 6 months before the album dropped I was at the Anger Management Tour in St Louis and rapper Xzibit whole first verse to his hype man back stage and his hype man said “Who is that?” — his hype man didn’t even recognize the song (and X even performed it at the show) but his hype man was like “oh that’s cool I’m gonna introduce you to X— but didn’t but I did meet proof and proof was everything everybody says he was, down to Earth, and showed love
