Now that November 9th is nearing (Halo 2), I've been thinking about getting XBox Live. But is it really worth it?

I don't know shit about it, so what are the costs? Is it really that much better?

It is def worth it.  Xbox live is BY FAR the best online experience available for console gaming.  For the first year, you pay a one time fee - i think its $50 right now (was $75, i think they're lowering it for the christmas season). but even at $75 thats like $6 a month.  There's downloadable content that keeps games fresh, especially multi player games.  after the first year, its $5 a month. if you're getting halo 2, you absolutely want live. you won't regret it.
