YO....What's this about Eazy at the white house?
« on: September 07, 2002, 11:01:47 AM »
I've read this a few times.  About Eazy E being a Republican.  Donating to the republican cause, and visiting the white house.  This seems so out of character for Eazy E.  I heard he was recieving alot of anger from the black community because they felt when he got rich he turned his back on the hood and wasn't really ghetto, just a studio gangsta.

Me personally, I think it's always cool to see a rapper being politically active.

I think this is what happened... he made a donation to the Make A Wish Foundation and the invitation people just skimmed the donors and he got an invitation. He went because he said it was a million dollars worth of publicity for $1500 ($1500 a plate meal). That was also around the same time that he was publicly seen with Ted Bresenio. That's why in "No Vaseline" Ice Cube says "I'll never have dinner with the president" it was aimed at Eazy.

peace,

What happend was that he payed $1500 (I think) dollars for a plate at a republican dinner. Bus SR. was gonna be there and it made the National news. So he payed $1500 for $15,000 worth of publicity. I think they talk about it on the NWA greatest hits vol 1... Check it out.

"One day Alice came to a fork in the road and saw a Cheshire cat in a tree. "Which road do I take?" she asked. "Where do you want to go?" was his response. "I don't know," Alice answered. "Then," said the cat, "it doesn't matter."
