the UK hip hop I've heard is whack cuz it has so many influences it doesnt sound like hip hop anymore. Sure things progress but I'd like to keep it in the US thats where the real flavor is, sorry limeys!

I think the only rapper out of the UK i hearfd is The Streets, can you list some songs worth downloading or albums worth checking out?   

The album I think would appeal to americans the most is Skinny Man - Council Estate Of Mind, hes a dope rapper and the the beats are more american sounding.

My favourite british rapper at the moment is Braintax he is dope as fuck and has some funky beats I suggest everyone should check out his stuff.

One of my favourite uk hiphop albums is Mark B and Blade - The Unknown which takes it back to the basic with the rapper / dj combo, good DJing and Breaks supplied by mark b with one of the uk heavy weights (although grew up in iran during their war with iraq) Blade holding it down on the mic.

Klashnakoff gots some lyrics and kinda dark beats

Roots Manova got some solid laid back lyrics and relatively clean lyrics on some dark funky beats.

On the production side of things the creators have got some heat they put out some good albums with uk and us rappers, they done tracks with talib kweli, mos def, defari, dilated peoples amoung others

actually i disagree american hiphop has become stale its all same old comercial garbige, uk hiphop is alive and well, probably because they'er still struggling and there is very little commercialisation here, rappers here are free to make music how they want and still have that hunger which are 2 things us rap soap opera can't say they legitimately have, they never seem to elivate their idea up (with the execption of a small few of course) instead continually dumbing down.
