Power 106 Exposes Hov's Rhyme Kleptomania
« on: April 07, 2005, 07:04:55 PM »
Check this shizz   :o

http://www.power106.fm/gallery/jayz.aspx

I know yall are west coast, but summa this is pretty disturbing. In addition to the ones they list, I also noticed:

Now once upon a time not too long ago
A nigga like myself had to strong arm a hoe
This is not a hoe in the sense of havin' a pussy
But a pussy havin' no God damn sense, try and push me
-Jay-Z, "99 Problems" offa The Black Album

is the EXACT SAME verse as:

Now, once upon a time not too long ago
A nigga like myself had to strong arm a ho
Now, this was not a ho in the sense of havin' a pussy,
But a pussy havin' no goddamn sense, tryin' to push me
-UGK, "Touched" offa Ridin Dirty

and then jay bit more of biggie's lines:

Yes.. a lime to a lemon, my V-A women
walk in Manolo Blahniks cause my condo with elevators in 'em
-Jay-Z, "Fuck All Nite" offa Blueprint 2

Uh, uh, what, uh
I'm a lime to a lemon, my CeCe women
Bringin in ten G minimums to condos with elevators in 'em
-Notorious B.I.G. rappin on Michael Jackson's "Unbreakable" offa Invincible

lol i thought it was the worst when T.I. sampled Jay-Z sayin "So them rings and things you sing about / Bring em out / It's hard to yell when the bar-rel's in your mouth" for "Bring em out," and T.I. shows up in the video wearing a Reasonable Doubt t-shirt.

Boy - betta learn yo rap history! that line was jacked straight from a posthumous Biggie, Meth, Red collabo:

The rings and things you sing about, bring 'em out
It's hard to yell when the barrel's in your mouth
-Biggie, "Rap Phenomenon" offa Born Again

BTW - does anyone know how/why someone gets negative karma? I've been tryna figure out y i have negative karma or waht that means.

it dont mean shit. it means some lame read one of your posts and felt it necessary to go out of his way to express his emotions through the net
"One day Alice came to a fork in the road and saw a Cheshire cat in a tree. "Which road do I take?" she asked. "Where do you want to go?" was his response. "I don't know," Alice answered. "Then," said the cat, "it doesn't matter."

Speaking of rhyme jackin', one of Snoop's verses on Nothin' but a gangsta party with 2pac was jacked from this old school hip hop joint from the early to mid 80's. One of my boys had an old school tape and that song came on and my jaw dropped. I wish I could remember the name of the song.
Being a LAKER is a privilige. Unfortunately some "Lakers" have forgotten that.

^fuck that

people dont see that the only reason jay-z made it to the top is cuz he stole hella lyrics from biggie & tried to take his place.
"House shoes & coffee: I know the paper gone come"

or off Pimp slapped..

original Quik line from "Tonight"....

A day in the life of a playa named Quik
Im just a stubborn kinda brotha with a head like a brick
And just because i sip the eight, they say that im hopeless
But i dont give a fuck so blame it on the locness
Now this is how we do it when we checkin a grip
Teddy Bear is in tha house, so dont even trip
I bust a funky composition thats as smooth as a prizm
Now check it as i kick off in this funky ass rhythm....

Snoop line from Pimp Slapped.....

A day in the life a rollin twenty crip
Im just a stubborn kinda brotha with a head like a brick
And just because i sip moet, they say that im hopeless
But i dont give a fuck, so blame it on the locness
Now this is how we do it when we checkin a grip
its Snoop Dogg in this bitch, so dont even trip
I bust a funky composition thats as smooth as a prizm
Now check it as i kick off in this funky ass rhythm....

not word for word...but still...

I never was sure tho whether he was givin props to Quik by usin those lines or not, based on what the song talks about after that...
