I'm thinking Quik came up with the beat concept ( using that sample ) and Dre ended up mixing it and directing Truth's vocals. Sample or no sample, that instrumental is way more Quik influenced than Dre influenced.

?? the sample wasnt edited, it was almost the original song, just that Truth Hurts was singing not some Indian woman.

Quik said in a recent interview that Dre actually produced that track ,and he gave the credit to Quik.

Why would Dre give Quik credit ? and why would someone accept credit for something they didnt do ?

and yes Rafsta is right... Quik said earlier he woke up in the morning to the original song on some Indian channel... he liked it and he recorded it on tape from tv... and used the sample. I have the original song too... I played it a couple of times... it's nice...
