Aftermath & Shady Records aint no fuckin dream team...
« on: May 25, 2005, 10:46:17 AM »
First of all,let me say this,I AM NOT A DRE HATER.I just cant understand how everyone puts their hope into these 2 labels. How many classic albums have these 2 labels released???1???lmao,that isnt too good for a label that is controlled by Dre.Exactly, how many of yall are man enough to admit that???Only 1 classic album, like I said, that is really pathetic for a label that is controlled by Dre.& Em,I dont think I even need to explain. He is probably the worst dude you can get to executive produce your album.
Devil's Night - garbage
Get Rich Or Die Tryin - the only good album he had any influence on
Cheers - garbage
D12 World - lol
The Massacre - lmao!!!
The only argument I can see people use is that both labels make classic songs, well as if other rappers dont do that ::) & no,making huge money isnt anything big when you're on Interscope & everyone knows what kind of music dominates in the state of hip hop right now.
Now here's the full discography of the 2 labels,Shady/Aftermath groupies dont even try to say its tight cause you know its not (Oh yeah, dont bring up Dre's career before he was on Aftermath, cause it has nothing to do wit this thread).

Albums:
The Massacre (Aftermath / Shady Records)
The Documentary (Aftermath / G-Unit)
Encore (Aftermath)
D12 World (Shady Records)
Cheers (Shady Records)
Get Rich Or Die Tryin (Aftermath / Shady Records)
Truthfully Speaking (Aftermath)
The Eminem Show (Aftermath)
Devil's Night (Shady Records)
Marshall Mathers LP (Aftermath)
2001 (Aftermath)
Slim Shady LP (Aftermath)

Compilations:
More 8Mile Soundtrack
8Mile Soundtrack
Shady / Aftermath Sampler
The Wash Soundtrack
The Firm - The Album
Dr. Dre Presents the Aftermath

Wow,that list is just so corny :o

I could care less about Shady or G-Unit. As far as Afermath is concrned, Dre has been on top with that ever since he signed Eminem...whether u like them or not. I know all you people who hate Eminem will hate me for sayinn' this... but TMMLP as well as Chronic 2001 were both classics. 2001 will have more respect in the Hip Hop world, but TMMLP had a much bigger impact on the world.

50 Cent - The Massacre (Aftermath / Shady Records)
 :puke:

The Game - The Documentary (Aftermath / G-Unit)
Good album, but it got old real quick...

Eminem - Encore (Aftermath)
 :puke: :puke:

D12 World (Shady Records)
 :puke:

Cheers (Shady Records)
3rd best Aftermath album IMO...

Get Rich Or Die Tryin (Aftermath / Shady Records)
Great beats, average rapper.

Truthfully Speaking (Aftermath)
this album is so so...

The Eminem Show (Aftermath)
 :puke:

Devil's Night (Shady Records)
:puke:  I still can't believe I actually bought this album back in the day :-X

Marshall Mathers LP (Aftermath)
Definately a good album, not as good as The Slim Shady LP though.

2001 (Aftermath)
I think I can call this a classic.

Slim Shady LP (Aftermath)
After 2001 the best Aftermath album. Maybe I'll call it a classic in a few years, who knows... it can't touch albums like Doggystyle and E. 1999 Eternal though, so I probably won't call it a classic in a few years :P

More 8Mile Soundtrack
Wacky.

8Mile Soundtrack
Wacky.

Shady / Aftermath Sampler
eh? it's a sampler, lol

The Wash Soundtrack
Good soundtrack, nothing more and nothing less than that

The Firm - The Album
Good album

Dr. Dre Presents the Aftermath
Good album. Great for todays standards, haha.
