Jus some stuff on daz i gotta say
« on: June 13, 2002, 05:02:51 PM »
how do think his new album will sell cuz i live in NY an i already got his album.  It took me a month 2 find dilly n young gotti.  An it took me months to find soopafly an i found it in a used bin.  I think daz is goin push 250,000 an maybe be in tha top 100 cuz his distribution is million times better than it was.  DPG debuted at 174 an that album was only released in cali.  also i have only had time to hear a few of tha songs on there an so far they r dope as fuck an much props to daz.  Since death rows collapse he has been tha most constitant out of tha whole dpg family.  He never fell off an has alway been solid when it comes to makin albums

I disagree with most of what you said.

I think Daz fell way off after Retaliation Revenge & Getback... fell off harder than anyone in tha DPG, even Kurupt. I can put up with Kurupt's "fuck a bitch" more than I can put up with Daz's more agressive flow... that's how I describe his style switch.. he used to be laid back.. now he's alwayz yellin' n shit.

I also dont like tha way they're all crippin' now... Daz and Snoop especially. I could have felt it more if they came out when they first started talking about Crip this and Crip that... cuz they would have been young and it would have been for real... I can't listen to that shit nomore though, It's just fake... why muthafuckers wanna bang after they get rich and established? cuz they know tha streets can't see them then.

Snoop's different though... he's all Cripafied now... but he does it mostly in a representation sort of way.. Daz is doing it in a Banged Tha Fuck Out/I Dont Give A Shit way... when he gots restraining orders on Suge n shit.

I'm going off topic though... I'm taking it to a personal level.. when it's really about tha music... I just aint feelin it as much. His production don't sound cool to me. His flow and substance is wack and played out. He came doper in his Death Row dayz.

Raw wasn't too good. (IMO) Dont think I'm hating either, cuz I bought that album, I was tha happiest muthafucker alive... but then I heard it and it just sucked.
I actually liked DPG2002 better than Dillenger & Gotti.

I feel like giving his new shit a chance though... just to see what he gots.. but I doubt he'll come with anything impressing.

Oh, and to answer you question.. I doubt it's gonna sell too much. Really doubt it'll get close to gold.

His whole fanbase has kinda went down. Cuz only his real fans can feel his shit, (not even all of them... cuz I used to be a hardcore fan). For Daz to blow up.. he'd kinda have to start from scratch, cuz his name and fame have died down alot in tha past years.

Just cuz it's out in NY doesn't mean NY muthafuckerz are buying it...

Good promotion? I live in Cali and haven't heard any of his new songs on tha Radio... haven't seen his video either.
