Any Jay-Z song-  They say Jay-Z has lyrics but when someone spits an ill metaphor about his watch it doesn't appeal to me.

Eminem- "Toy Soldiers"-  I never got why people liked this song, Em hasn't really been tight since the 8 Mile movie blew up.

Kanye West-  "Jesus Walks"-  I think people are desperate to find a mainstream artist with substance to his lyrics, but this guy just isn't it.

Add biggie's 'ready to die'. I believe that album is kinda of overrated. People make it out to be more than it is.

no, i was being a bit polemic. I don´t even hate him, but he´s rather weak IMO, even though a few tracks are enjoyable. Jay-Z - Reasonable Doubt and the Blueprint album
So many people call those albums classic, I just don't see it. In fact most of the songs sound corny and the bragging about money thing just gets old.

The Ready To Die album is overrated as well. It has some good songs on it, but I just didn't get into it like most others. I hated those fat man fuckin skits, those made me sick to my stomach. I'd rather listen to the Infamous or Cuban Linx.

Also I can't get into Gangstarr, no matter how many times I try to listen to their albums. Hard to Earn is just unlistenable to me, even though most find it a classic.

I've never liked Fat Joe, even when he dropped "Flow Joe" back in '93. The only decent music he ever made was when Big Pun was still around.

I love 2pac's music, but I hate "hit em up". That song is a disgrace. "How do you want it" is pure cheese.

NWA's second album Niggaz4Life is overrated by everyone. It's nowhere near Straight Outta Compton.
