LOL @ syphoring out of cars, would be easier to just do a drive off (fill up and not pay). I work at BP part time whilst at uni, and drive offs happen quite regularly when the price is high.

I dunno why petrol's been so expensive the last few months, supposedly we keep getting told it has something to do with the Iraq situation. Economists aren't worried because it's not a supply problem, so i guess that means the price 'should' come down. No idea when though

At the mo' it's $1.55 for regular unleaded here in NZ, it includes 5c tax the govt. implemented earlier this year. I dunno how much that would be in US dollar exactly, but it would be close to $3.00.

There are 3 gas stations in a row that are 2.89 on Victory in between Balboa and Woodman. 2 Arcos and 1 Shell. I remember about 1 year ago when the prices were down to 1.87 at the cheapest.
