Dubcnn Blog - Roccett
We have lined up with an artist
that has featured on Dubcnn consistently over recent years
to write a Blog. Roccett, who has captured the imagination of fans and
industry tastemakes alike, takes up writing the first Blog to go live as part
of the the new section on Dubcnn that will be update periodically with the
latest news from artists, producers and our very own staff. This will further
help us in our mission to increase and improve interaction between artists and
fans worldwide.

Fifth Edition! (Tuesday September 2nd, 2008)
hat's good West Coast bacc with another edition of my Dubcnn Blog.....
Just got bacc from the Ozone Awards and as you all know it was a lot going
on out there. From Ric Ross and his camp getting into it with DJ Vlad, too
Mike Jones and Trae fighting. Ozone awards is really for the hood and every
year something happens that reminds the people this is the Hood Award
show.....
Everyone keep asking me my thoughts about all that went down and its quite
simple, u put whole bunch of people from street together and not knowing who
got issues with who and its obvious some things gonna go down. And with the
media always pressing for drama, i don't know why anyone surprised that
there was incidents.....
Beyond all that craziness, it was typical conference weekend. We did media,
drops, interviews, performed, and all the other conference related events.
The West coast was deep in Houston, from the Bay to LA, it was a good
showing of artists and people out there getting it in.... We all got on
stage during the awards and it was over 30 people up there reppin.....
I'm bacc in the studio, knoccing out some mixtapes, and some other projects
that I been working on.... I got a few more shows, few more events, and then
the summer will be over..... Time wait for no one.... I will end 08 with a
bang, so stay tuned for exactly what I decide too do....
I'm in Dallas and they talking about 2 different Hurricanes approaching the
Gulf, we can't afford another Katrina, things all ready low on these
streets. I'm off to ATL from here gonna jump in the studio with a few of my

had fun shootin it, a lil eye candy, etc....

Fourth Edition! (Sunday July 27th, 2008)
What's good to all my dubcnn.com peoples we bacc with another blog. Let me
start off letting everyone know that I am nominated for an Ozone Award. So
all my dubcnn.com peoples please vote for your boy Roccett! We

My birthday just passed and I celebrated at Tums in Dallas, Texas. Tums is a
music conference for dj’s, artists, media, etc… These conferences basically
provide opportunity for networking, listening suites, and really an avenue
to push your music. Shout to all my peoples that was at Tums, the Core DJ’s,
Definition DJ’s, and everyone else out there getting it in… I performed on
Sunday night at the fashion show, which was a good look… A lot of models is
always a good look… Ill have to post the video of my performance up here
real soon. Speaking of videos, we shot a street video of one of my songs “Im
A Ryda” while in Dallas….. Just a raw on the spot video so checc it out:

I also went too the Bet Awards and hit up some pre events and some BET Award
weekend events. The awards had most of the top hip hop artists performing so
was a good look to see where I am trying to get too. I am in this game to be
the best, too have the most success, and I feel I am a real artist and real
artists have longevity because the music lasts through time. With everyone
wondering if hip Hop is dead and with the lacc of record sales and lacc of
what people think are quality artists, the BET Awards was a positive look
for Hip Hop in general. With that being said, I need to get bacc in the
studio and bacc on my grind so I can achieve my goals…..

Third Edition! (Friday July 10th, 2008)
What's good Dubcnn and the
entire west coast, we bacc with another Roccett blog…
All is been cool with me on the music tip… Went to Houston for the OG Ron C
Music Conference, spoke on a panel, did my media runs, and eat some real
good food at Poppasito’s in Houston… The conference had a real talk
interview with Mannie Fresh, he gave us game and talked about his various
years in the music game… Shout to OG Ron C and the GO DJ’s for having us
down there….
Oh I just dropped a video for one of my old records “Fuccs W U”, the ladies
really like this record and I really like them ladies. So for all the people
that been asking for the video, here we go:

Roccett: Second Edition! (Tuesday
6th May 2008)
What's good Dubcnn, I am gonna jump right into the Mixtape world on this
Blog. I am on my street campaign heavy, different mixtapes, with different
Mixtape DJ's across the world, city to city, state to state, dropping
mixtapes, giving the people my music.
I just hosted the streets of LA with DJ Nik Bean, you know that is west coast
heat. Nik Bean gonna heat up the streets. I am working with DJ RPM in Dallas,
Colors Part 2, doing something with Crackaudio, The Empire, and many more in
the works. Stay tuned Dubcnn I will be hitting you with the covers, the
download links etc. Here is my latest joint with my dude Bigg Rich in

I will be in the streets all month, hitting Houston, NY, Nashville, Atlanta,
just to name a few. I got photoshoots, shows, studio sessions, and more in
store for you. This game is a grind Dubcnn, don’t let MTV, etc fool you. We
going hard all the time. There's a lot of fake-ness in this game, but I will
continue to keep it 1000 and stay in them streets.

Roccett: First
Edition! (Friday 11th April 2008)
Dubcnn what's up? This first edition of the Roccett & Dubcnn blog. This
right here is a good look because I rep that West Coast hard and Dubcnn rep
that west coast hard. Shout to Eddie, Nima, and the rest of the crew for the
support. I’m going to checc in with Dubcnn every few weeks or at least once a
month, give you new music, updates, videos, and whatever else I go through.
No need for a real introduction, everyone on this site should be real familiar
with me, if not go to my
MySpace and
checc out the bio, music, etc.
Let's jump right into it. I just hosted Western Hospitality 7, with September
7th that dropped on April 7th, I am going to include the Download link so you
can run through that and enjoy my music. [Editor's Note: Download
here]. September 7th is dropping a Mixtape every month on the 7th
right here on Dubcnn so checc for that. I been going hard on the Mixtape
circuit so stay tuned for a lot more Roccett hosted mixtapes and Roccett
mixtapes in general.
First of, since we reppin the West Coast, checc me out in the Worldwide
Makaveli Branded advertisement Campaign. This campaign is run not only in US,
but throughout Europe and we all know I rep hard for Pac.
I was in the ATL recording for a few days trying to get my album in classic
mode. Dubcnn this is real important. I need some fire West Coast Bangers. I
have the luxury of getting in the studio with a lot of the top producers in
the South, and the South music is very popular right know, but I need that
West Coast heat. Let's bring bacc that pure west coast sound.
I am asking all the West Coast producers to send that heat to me directly [via
email]. The Terrence Martins, Focus, Meech Wells, Diverse, Dae Ones’s
etc I need bangers. The west got a lot of hot young producers. I know I
reached out to a lot of you all ready but if I haven't here it is - I need
that heat!
That's really what I am on right know, recording. I have a few shows coming
up, but I am really back on my recording for a while. I knocced out a Remix
