I think it's rather boring, only a couple of dope tracks, imo.
Doggfather was decent, but far from his best.

I don't think it's only about the Dre-tracks, but it's more about having Dre onboard, and choosing the 3rd party beats and mixing the tracks.
Dre got a great ear for beats, while Snoop some times makes some odd choices.. and also Snoop is way better lyrically when Dre's executive producer, Snoop admitted that himself.

That's true, still one of the best albums from Snoop.

Doggfather is dope! DJ Pooh make some decent tracks.

Quote from: Soopafly DPGC about his hands
I don't live for the man, but I do study him so I can hope my pimp hands one day become as strong as his. When i first started listening to him, my hands were only strong enough to crush a beetle.  Now that i've studied him for 15 years, my hands are strong enough to crush a dog.

Yeah. so it didn't have Dre, but it had Daz, Soopafly, DJ Pooh, LT Hutton and Sam Sneed and they are all talented producers. By the way, who are Arkim & Flair?? They had two dope beats "Sixx Minutes" and "Gold Rush".

glad Snoop called out Dre on giving him old leftover beats

Snoop should just say fuk Dre and not be on Detox, and watch that album not be even close to 2001 level let alone chronic

Co-sign, it got pretty harshly treated at the time, which is a shame, because Snoop brought his most insightful content on that album I thought (even though the beats were mostly just ok, and his delivery had lost some of its edge). After it got bad reviews he seemed to decide to just stick to talking about bitches and pimping again

Dre and Snoop is a good combination, but I agree with Snoop, he don't need Dre.

-Well,as far as Snoop solo albums,I only like Doggystyle,Top Dogg and The Last Meal. As far his other projects I feel the Eastsidaz and the Bones OST... other than that the rest is average or wak.

its all good homie I don't feel some of his albums either

People needs to realize Dre hasn't been on his A game for a damn long time , his work on BCT was good but very FAR from what you can expect from a such combo... on the other hand, I'm very surprised (and in a good way) how Ego Trippin is consistent as a whole and is a true album and not a compilation like BCT .. there sure are 2-3 songs out of place and fillers but you can see Snoop wanted to have a certain sound for the album and he sticked with it
